The Bullade is a barn (lade), that is so ingeniously created that it can be dissembled and moved to another place and reassembled quite easily. Bulhuse (huse is houses) were popular in Denmark around the 1700th century. This particular bullade is situated in Tyrstrup near Christiansfeld. And it is said to be from 1668. And was actually never moved. It is founded on boulders of granite on which oak planks are put in between vertical oak posts. The building of bulhuse was prohibited in some parts of the country, because a lot of wood was used for building, but they were quite common in the Southern part of Jutland (Jylland). This bullade is a magnificent building and very big. It was part of the Tyrsted vicarage, which was a 4-winged farm.
