Originally born in Switzerland, Chef van Holzen has lived in Bali since 1990, and is a Balinese cuisine cookbook author, and owner of a restaurant and cooking school. He shows us how to make a flavorful and aromatic minced duck sate.

Balinese Food Festival Meriahkan Tri Hita Karana Tourism Awards
Tanggal 4 Desember, Jumat lalu, ajang Balinese Food Festival telah memeriahkan kegiatan Tri Hita Karana Tourism Awards 2009 (THK) di Taman Budaya Art Center Bali, Indonesia.
Acara ini diselenggarakan oleh Bali Travel News (BTN) yang bekerjasama dengan Indonesian Chef Association (ICA) serta diikuti oleh puluhan Hotel dan Restaurant di Bali.
Kategori yang dilombakan yaitu; setiap peserta lomba wajib menyediakan satu set menu makanan khas Bali, dengan hiasan yang disesuaikan dengan tema. Peserta harus menyajikan minuman dan makanan tradisianal Bali yang memenuhi standar kesehatan, baik dalam pengolahan maupun penyajian. Sedangkan klasifikasi makanan yang dihidangkan terdiri atas makanan pembuka, makanan utama dan makanan penutup.

Penyelenggaraan Balinese Food Festival banyak menarik perhatian wisatawan mancanegara, diantaranya Jennifer Harrison warga negara Australia.
