MV Karma 23 November 2014
Another trip north to the Karma. A great day's diving on the wreck and it was shared with a pair of manta rays. I highly recommend a trip to the Karma for any diver visiting the region. Get in touch with Bundy Aqua Scuba for details. Phone Julian on 07 4153 5761
Althea Wreck Dive 26 July 2015
The trawler Althea sank 30nm off Bundaberg in 1991. Lying at a depth of over 35m and in such open water it is a dive for the experienced only. It's offshore location also means it can only be dived when conditions are favourable but it is well worth the effort when they are.
MV Venus
This was a joint trip by the Getunder and Sub Aqua dive clubs aboard the MV Venus out of Bundaberg in Queensland.
Why I LOVE spearfishing my hometown of Brisbane, Australia... HUGE biomass of fish
This is where I grew up spearfishing - Brisbane. I was back in Australia for a wedding so took the opportunity to head out off my home town to get amongst it. It just so happened Sydney diver Harry was in town and had never dived in Queensland before. Safe to say his mind was blown! I also cook up some of the lesser parts of the fish we caught.
Check out his video from the day here
And go subscribe to his channel because he puts out some amazing content!
Also big thanks to Tim McDonald for lending us his boat this day, he also has a channel worth checking out:

Bargara, Queensland, Australia: Soldiercrabs
Die Soldatenkrabben kommen recht häufig vor. Aber nur mit etwas Glück sieht man sie auch. Sie kommen bei Ebbe heraus, sie tauchen einfach plötzlich aus dem Sand auf. Toll!
Spearfishing Queensland - 24 02 2013
Recently, the weather in south-east Queensland has been atrocious with strong winds and continuous rain. Sunday 24/02/2013 forecast was for light winds in the morning turning nasty by 1:00pm due to a major front coming in. With poor visibility in close we decided to push out wide in search of blue water. We found what we were looking for around 50km off-shore however it was as if the pelagic species knew we were coming. We were lucky enough to locate a school of Kingfish,

Cochrane Artificial Reef
Scuba dive with Bundaberg Aqua Scuba on the Cochrane artificial reef - Easter weekend 2016. Strong current, beautiful weather.
The site comprises the following:-
The Two Mohawks
Two Mohawk aircraft approximately 20 metres long were sunk in 1996. Now home to large queensland groupers, sea turtles and large rays
The Ceratodus II
A 50 metre long Dredger scuttled in 1992 lay on her side in 10 to 20 metres of water, suitable for divers of all experience levels, can be explored inside and out.
King Air
A 17 seater light aircraft broken in half with the plane and tail section separated about 20 metres apart was sunk in 1997 making access to the inside very easy.
The Barge
Once used for the shipping of goods to Lady Elliott Island, she was sunk in 1999 and is already covered in much growth and many schools of small fish already call this home. She now rests in 15 metres of water at almost the most easterly point of the reef site.
The Two Light Ships
Sunk in 2000 they rest upright in 18 metres of water about 100 metres apart. They are 35 metres long and raise 8 metres off the bottom and growth already on them is incredible.
MV Karma July 2017
The MV Karma always holds lots of fish. The Queensland Winter weather often provides the best chances of good visibility and calm seas. Regular visits to the wreck are showing the signs of time and the deterioration of the old gravel barge.

Fancy goldfish at Bundaberg Aquarium Queensland
This is a really nice aquarium we discovered at Bundaberg Queensland called Seabase Aquarium and here I found a lovely jet black ranchu goldfish called a Thai boxer ranchu which I bought home to breed with my ranchu goldfish' when it is mature enough.
