Dean Ray tribute to Prince in Tanunda, South Australia
Amazing concert with Karise Eden and Dean Ray in Tanunda, South Australia, where Dean performed a tribute to late Prince among the fans. It showed however that we did not really know the way the song Cream goes, which really shows Dean's funny side. We loved it!
Nimila Heys Singing Silent Night 2nd Verse with a mix of pop and classical
Nimila's Bio
INFO
Born in Fiji, Nimila was raised in Australia by her adoptive parents who recognised her love for music and her singing talent very early in her life.
As soon as possible,Nimila started formal vocal training at the centre for youth music at Charles Darwin University in Darwin NT and continued her 'voice craft' tuition for seven years. Nimila has adapted her formal training to modern singing styles and techniques which has produced a unique voice. Being petite in stature her rich, chocolatey voice never ceases to amaze and thrill her audiences from young to old.
EXPERIENCE
Nimila's performing experience started as early as six years of age playing Mary in a school Christmas pageant. Starting with years of exams and eisteddfods, Nimila gradually became comfortable singing to very large audiences.
* Darwin's Christmas Carols (1996) 15,000
*National Youth Reconciliation, Darwin (1996) 2000
*National Bahai Convention ACT (1998) 10,000
*NQRL Cowboys Home Game Vs Brisbane Broncos (2003) 25,000
*Brisbane EKKA: Main arena daily (2003) and (2004) 20,000
*Townsville Entertainment and Convention Centre: Crocs Basketball game (2004) 4000
*Burdekin Theatre Ayr sang with Rob Guest (2005) 500.
REPERTOIRE
Having both a big voice and exhuberant personality has made some of the best songs available to Nimila. Her repertoire shifts from the dramatic to the funky. Such songs as I WILL ALWAYS LOVE YOU and many more of Whitney Houston's songs, I DREAMED A DREAM (Les Miserables), are sung like no other! SOMEWHERE Barbara Streisand, CHAINS Tina Arena, PAPER MOON Natalie Cole, are all sung whith heart-wrenching emotion.
On the other hand, Nimila can produce rhe most whimsical, comical interpretations that are characterised in such songs as I WOMAN Helen Reddy and WHAT'S UP 4 Non-Blonds.
Her latest additions are NOBODY'S WIFE Anouk, CORPUS CHRISTIE CAROL Jeff Buckley and DOLPHINS CRY Live.
PROFESSIONALISM
*Singing come first
*Hours of practice behind closed windows and doors
*An enormous up to date collection that inspires her
*Up-to-date knowledge and appraisal of other recording artist's works
*Continual reviewing, revising and extending of her repertoire
*Fearless venture into new vocal styles
*Research to understand the full meaning behind vocals
*Chooses and buys appropriate clothing for auditions and performances.
PLANS FOR THE FUTRE
Nimila enjoys live performances but also wants to be a recording artist. She would love to find someone who will write meaningful songs for her.
