Situated on the Gold Coast Australia, Burleigh Heads is a local hot spot amongst the surfer culture as it provides beautiful beaches along with the modern boutique shops on James St. This is where the locals go, whether to go to the beach for a swim, to get some Cold Rock ice cream or some of the famous fish and chips from the local Fish Monger. Burleigh Heads is the place to be.

Burleigh Heads Beach features an ideal balance between quality waves, family facilities, and local greenery. The beach is widely renowned as one of Australia's premier surfing beaches, featuring an all-sand bottom and long right-handed breaks. Non-surfers also have plenty to benefit from with a day at Burleigh Beach, as its sheltered nature is conducive to some great, calm swimming conditions on windier days that can make other Gold Coast beaches less enjoyable. While the sanded area at Burleigh isn't as wide as some other beaches, it's exceptionally clean and kept in great condition by the locals.

Pumping clean east swell at about 1.7meters hit Burleigh Heads on the 18th March 2017. It was a pumping monring, doesnt get much better than this.
The swell was so clean one set had 5 decent waves in it.

I took the train in Brisbane, up until the Gold Coast where I was picked up by a contact I made online. We went to Burleigh Beach Heads by car, where I was picked up by another contact I met online.

Exploring Burleigh Heads Beach 2019
Let's explore Burleigh Heads Beach.
Join me as I spend a day exploring the Burleigh Heads beach and the walk around the headland to Tallebudgera Creek.
I start with a walk through the town center and to the Burleigh Beach.
I then take a walk around the headland through the beautiful Burleigh Heads National Park to Tallebudgera Creek. From the headland you can see stunning views north and south of the Gold Coast.
I have a quick swim at Tallebudgera Creek and then walk back to Burleigh for another swim.
This is an amazing part of the coast and one that's worth spending an hour or two to take a look.
