TYM The Series - Haunted Tales of Burnima Homestead
In this exciting episode, Tim investigates one of Australia’s most haunted buildings; Burnima Homestead, near the New South Wales township of Bombala, in the Australian Alps region.
Built for land owner Henry Tollemache Edwards at the turn of the 20th Century, the 32-room Victorian style mansion was once considered the nation’s Governor-General’s Residence as Bombala lead the charge to become the site of the national capital.
Exploring the mansion’s incredible period décor and setting, Tim is guided through the homestead’s rich history by Owner Steve Rickett.
Inevitably, the story turns to the tragic and ghostly nature of the property, with a look at the spirits that now roam its hallways and gardens. This includes sightings of Henry’s eldest daughter, Ms Edith Edwards, and a former servant whose cold-blooded murder went unsolved with the body believed to be hidden in a former well beneath the residence.
Join Tim the Yowie Man as he returns Burnima Homestead to the screen; but keep the light on – for not everything is always as it seems.

PowerFM Burnima homestead Miss Edith Edwards
This video was filmed in the sitting room of Miss Edith Edwards at the haunted Burnima homestead near Bombala in NSW. Whilst alive, she would ring the servants bell (which often goes off in the house when noone is in the room). As we tried to film the bell, the light was turned off. Then a weird static occurred in the audio recording. This only happened in this room where her ghost in known to sit.

Bombala - a great town up the hill from us on the far south coast, lots to see and do there (and, enjoy the coffee and chat to a local). Nice van park right next to the river and a stroll over the bridge to the centre of town. Get to the Platypus Reserve thats only minutes out of town - enjoy - Cheers, the J's
