The Burren Perfumery and Tea Rooms is located in Carron ,County Clare in the West of Ireland.The Tea Room offers incredible home baked desserts, soups and cheese plates. It is without doubt, the best brownie I have ever had. The gardens and surrounding areas are beautiful. The staff is very helpful and friendly....music is Paddy Reilly's Little Grey House in the West. Photo's by Frances Sloan. On another note, when we go to Ireland we rent a house in Doolin. It is on the internet listed as doolin-haven.com 4 BR 5 baths! Absolutely beautiful views of the Cliffs of Moher, Aran Isles and Atlantic Ocean. Very affordable.....

A beautiful winters day spent flying around in a Vortex 250 Pro in the Heart of the Burren, Carron. Lovely scenery and farmland along with a great view of a huge Turlough (one of the biggest in Europe).
Temple Cronan Monastic Site, Carron, The Burren
St Cronan founded the monastery here in the 7C. Tucked away in a little hollow is a delightful small pre-12C oratory, later rebuilt with Romanesque sculpture.
There are two tomb-shrines here with two sloping side sides and triangular shaped- pieces on the ends with a space for the pilgrim to put his hand in and touch the place where the saint is buried. The large plain tomb is said to be that of St Cronan. There is a Holy Well nearby, if you can find it, and also a Cross shaft and base to the NW.

Co. Clare cattle are on their way to Winterage, 5 months foraging on the limestone hills of the Burren. A revival of the traditional blessing of animals took place in the village of Carron over the celebratory weekend.

KILFENORA IRELAND THE FUNERAL
Original song about John E. Flaherty written by one of his great grandchildren.. The shoes refered to in the song were Dutch wooden shoes that would be put on and dance with whenever they would visit him. My father was an avid race horse fan and would have all of us put in his bets for him. He loved being able to watch the races on the television. He was a Clerk/Magistrate and worked full time up until his death at the age of 94, the longest-sitting clerk of court in the State. We have so many great memories of him. The pictures were taken by me in Kilfenora, Ireland 2007.

The Burren (Irish: Boireann, meaning Great rock, Boirinn is the modern form used by the Ordnance Survey) is a unique karst-landscape region in northwest County Clare, in Ireland. The region measures approximately 250 square kilometres and is enclosed roughly within the circle comprised by the villages Ballyvaughan, Kinvara, Tubber, Corofin, Kilfenora and Lisdoonvarna, It is bounded by the Atlantic and Galway Bay on the west and north respectively. Strictly speaking the territory of the Burren or barony of Burren only contains the villages of Lisdoonvarna, Ballyvaughan, Fanore, Craggagh, New Quay/Burrin, Bealaclugga (Bellharbour) and Carron.
The definite article (making it the Burren) has only been added to the name in the last few decades, possibly by academics, as it had always been called Boireann in Irish and Burren in English

The Burren

The Burren National Park is one of six National Parks in Ireland and the smallest in size.The Burren National Park Visitor Centre is located on Church Street in Corofin, County Clare, Ireland.

SONY DCR-SR45 review ROAD FROM CARRON TO KILFENORA
Riding from Carron to Kilfenora, Ireland. The roads are two ways! We were doing the speed limit. Actually a little under the speed limit. It is too bad that the music ends before we get there. I recorded it with a Sony Handycam DCR-SR45. I was not too impressed with the camera until I saw the videos of the drive. The video is practically still even though I was holding it in my hand! I thought it would have been like being on a boat and cause sea sickness.... I still don't like the LCD screen though. I could not see anything except for my face when I used it out of doors.

Focusing on the media's insane bias, what is being overlooked is the soldier who was murdered by Muslim-convert Abdulhakim Muhammed, Pvt. William Long. This man gave his life for our country. He needs to be honored as a hero. We will forever be indebted to his sacrifice. May God bless him and his family. As Leonard Cohen has asked in his song On That Day Did you go crazy or did you report? I think that Private William Long Reported and some of us have gone crazy and want to forget......
