Burrill Lake
Burrill Lake is a small town on the south coast of NSW - just below Ulladulla and Mollymook. This is a popular holiday destination with a large lake system which is great for fishing, a protected swimming area inside Dolphin Head, and next to Meroo National Park. This is truly a relaxing location for winding down from a busy work schedule – close enough to Canberra and Sydney to take a break for the weekend.
During our visit Road works were in progress building a new bridge over the Burrill Inlet for all-weather access along the Princes Highway. We were staying at the BIG4 Bungalow Park on Burrill Lake with access is via a roundabout on the Highway. What a great place to stay with direct access to lake, great atmosphere and wonderful facilities...

STINGRAYS AT BURRILL LAKE, AUSTRALIA HD
Youtube are so paranoid about copyright that they don't even take any notice of Australian Copyright policy and laws. They also very unfairly discriminate against a valid Youtube partner who has all the rights and licences for their films under the New South Wales Fair Trading Law and applicable software licences.
So in a dispute, the claimer gets all the revenue from the ads on YOUR film that you should be getting while the dispute is on. The claimer should only get the revenue AFTER they have won and the film maker loses from then. But of course the claimer never wins, which is why they get it while it's being disputed!!
So the original of this film in Standard Definition is now being disputed which I have unlisted so the claimer doesn't get any revenue from my work, but that doesn't stop me from now using Youtube's own music in this original silent film.
It also gives me the opportunity to put this film up in High Definition as well.
Unique Standard 8mm film taken back in 1968 showing an unusual view of stingrays caught in a closed lake and can not get out to the ocean to spawn.
Some mates and I endeavor to give them a helping hand or a gentle guidance with a canoe paddle!! The strange body shape of the stingray seems to resemble a mouse with webbing around it!!

Burrill Lake Bridge 23 12 17
Today I went for my first dive at Burrill lake since the new bridge has been completed.
Its Dec 23 2017 and the first thing that struck me was just how deep the channel is at the moment. Its down to six meters in places with a really strong current that seems to keep up well past high tide.
The increased flow has uncovered much more of the remains of the original wooden bridge and lots more drink bottles and stuff from years gone by.
I'll be doing this regularly as the old bridge is removed and after they have removed the causeway opening up the whole channel to its original flow...

BIG4 Bungalow Park on Burrill Lake
On a recent caravan adventure, we were lucky to stay for several days at the BIG4 Bungalow Park on Burrill Lake. A new roundabout is being built on the highway to make access to this BIG4 park very easy. There are several parking bays alongside reception making check-in a breeze, leaving the entrance road to the park free for guests. This is a large park with plenty of great features. We were allocated a lovely spot adjacent to the lake itself - large flat site with cement slabs for caravan wheels and annex ...

(Part 2) Mavic 2 Pro over Burrill Lake and Wairo Beach Holiday Park, NSW Australia
Hi, this is Jorg from Aussieskys and G’day from Australia.
In this Video I included our accommodation at Wairo Beach Holiday Park.
About 10 Minutes drive south of Ulladulla on the Princess Highway.
A picturesque Holiday Park with it’s Old Wairo Town Cabin accommodation. We stayed in the 2 Bedroom, Spa Cabin – The General Store and very much enjoyed our stay.
A big Thank You to Kathie, very friendly and helpful at the Reception.
And a special Thank You to Damian (Manager) for granting me permission to film this Video, which I immensely enjoyed.
You’ll find the Wairo Beach Holiday Park website in the Link below.
Burrill Lake is about 8 minute’s drive south of Ulladulla. An ideal fishing spot and loved by stand up paddle boarder. Surrounded by the Timbertops Mountains with highking and horse riding trails.

Australia Day Burrill Lake
We drove down to Burrill Lake for the Australia Day (26th Jan 2014) long weekend. The lake was beautiful, full of birdlife.
Up close, we saw ducks, lorrikeets and pelicans. We tried our hand at fishing, but no luck that day. Wishing we had a boat...
But it was such a nice weekend - we'll go back there.
NATIVE BIRDS OF AUSTRALIA - PLOVER AND CHICK AT DOLPHIN POINT, BURRILL LAKE
Here we see this protected species where the parent is looking after their chick in our backyard at Dolphin Point, Burrill Lake. Though plovers are very protective, they make a call that reminds me of being on holidays at the Lake It also demonstrates how we must protect our fellow species neighbours of our planet.
DOLPHIN POINT-BURRILL LAKE - OUR 2ND HOME - BEACH HOUSE 1961 - 2012
This film is dedicated to our family holiday home 1961 to 2012, at Dolphin Point, Burrill Lake, New South Wales, Australia.
And dedicated to our parents, the late Ken and Betty Bond.
Bringing memories to all.
From the time the land was purchased at Auction for A450 pound (A$900!) in 1961 to the final goodbye in 2012, many happy holidays and weekends were held here by the our family, the Bonds.
Many changes were seen and not necessarily for the better around us.
Dad took a lot of colour slides (wish we had digital then!!) and hopefully I have brought them together to give a brief history of our Beach Home of 50 years.
CRACKER NIGHT AT BURRILL LAKE 1970 SD
Idiotically, Youtube claimed there was a Happy Birthday song from iTunes contravening copyright in this film!!!! Of course there wasn't but this version was taken off line for a month and only contains fireworks going off!! Go figure, Youtube!!!
This should bring back a lot of memories of those fabulous Cracker Nights we use to have until the until the spoil sport police outlawed them. But then again if Cracker Night was around today, there'd probably be a lot damage going on what with no discipline in schools anymore and do gooder police controlling things.
This restored 8mm film shows some of the real fun of those times.
