Welcome to the SECOND episode of our TURKISH STREET FOOD series! This time we’re in BURSA - home of the Iskender Kebap, mountains and tons of delicious street food!
We are starting our food tour with a Turkish breakfast special - simit and tahini pide. Simit is a circular, dense bread covered in sesame seeds. Almost like a Turkish bagel. Tahini pide is a doughy pastry smothered in thick tahini sauce (made of sesame paste). We washed it down with çay (Turkish tea) and ate a cheesy pastry which was a free sample! (Simit: 1.50 TRY/0.17 USD) (Pide 3 TRY/ 0.51 USD)
Next, we wondered around the MASSIVE market area known as Balıkçılar Pazarı. This fish/fresh market has everything you could ever want! We sampled olives, honey mulberry, cherries and watched artichoke cutting!
Inside the Balıkçılar Pazarı, we visit a local shop serving up fresh cantik. It is made with beef, tomatoes, onions and baked similar to pide. We also tried the Turkish drink called Ayran, which is a salty yogurt. It is a drink you have to try in Turkey. (8 TRY/ 1.36 USD each)
Next stop: The ancient Koza Han, which is a historical silk market from 1491 that used to sell silkworm cocoons and textiles. Nearby is the Grand Mosque of Bursa. It boasts 20 domes and 2 minarets and is a beautiful sight in the centre of Bursa.
A visit to Bursa is not complete until you have tried ISKENDER KEBAP, which is Bursa’s claim to fame! We visit the restaurant where Iskender Kebab was BORN! Juicy, tender meat covered in sheep’s butter served with tomato and yogurt on top of flat bread. Every bite is HEAVEN!!! (39 TRY/6.64 USD for 1 portion)
We watched the gorgeous sunset at an iconic Bursa sight - Tophane Clock Tower, and finished our street food tour in the park for çay! We hope you enjoyed, thank you so much for watching! WE WENT TO PODIUM PARK AT 12 AM IN BURSA TURKEY ! WHY RUSSIAN PEOPLE SCEARD FROM GOPNIKS MAFIA?
We went to Podium park at 12 am with my Russian, Turkish and Algerian friends. This park is in Bursa Turkey.
Liza will tell you guys how Gopniks the Russian Mafia look like and why people in Russia sceard from Gopniks. When you go out after sunset in specially Yekaterinburg Russia they will ask you to give them money mostly if you are alone and Gopnik is most likely derived from the Russian slang term for a street robbery: gop-stop.
Gopniks are often seen squatting in groups in court (на корта́х) or doing the crab (на крабе) outside blocks of flats or schools with their heels on the ground.[7][8] It is described as a learned behavior attributed to Russian prison culture to avoid sitting on the cold ground.[8]
Gopniks are often seen wearing Adidas or Puma tracksuits, which were popularised by the 1980 Moscow Olympics Soviet team.[9] Sunflower seeds (colloquially semki (семки) or semechki (семечки)) are habitually eaten by gopniks, especially in Ukraine and Russia. Gopniks can also be seen wearing flat caps and Adidas backpacks.
Gopniks are often associated with cheap alcohol, such as low-quality vodka and light beer, cheap cigarettes, low-end mobile devices, and sometimes even firearms. They also utilize common Russian profanities and often behave rudely. Gopniks often drive Lada Classics or older BMWs as their primary means of transport.
The subculture is stereotypically associated with Russian chanson music, specifically the blatnaya pesnya subgenre; also, since the mid-2010s, in internet memes and viral videos, with hardbass and Russian rock.[citation needed]
Gopniks are mostly avid gamers, most notably first person shooters such as the Counter Strike and Call of Duty series, as well as action-adventures such as Grand Theft Auto and similar games. Counter Strike: Global Offensive and Modern Warfare 2, which are popular in Russia, are widely regarded as the most common video games within the Gopnik subculture. The highly popular mobile game PUBG Mobile had recently gained some popularity in the subculture.[citation needed]
Gopniks commonly have Russian nationalism or Pan-Slavism as their primary political views[10], though there are also leftist or even far-right gopnik communities. Gopniks typically hold strong anti-Western views.[3]

We were very surprised on how far and how high the cable car went. The journey to the summit took more than 30 minutes. At half point we had to change to another cable car. We were greeted with souvenir shops, shopping and food outlets. Uludağ, the ancient Mysian Olympus, is a mountain in Bursa Province, Turkey, with an elevation of 2,543 m. In Turkish, Uludag means great mountain.
Teleferik ne kadar uzağa ve ne kadar yüksek gittiğine çok şaşırdık. Zirveye yolculuk 30 dakikadan fazla sürdü. Yarım noktada başka bir teleferik değiştirmek zorunda kaldı.
