Cork Butter Museum
The Cork Butter Museum is a unique institution, celebrating one of the great success stories of Ireland, the butter trade. Located in the historic Shandon area of Cork city, the story begins with the central role of dairy culture in the Island of Saints and Scholars. The Museum goes on to describe the internationally important Butter Exchange in nineteenth century Cork, the traditional craft of home butter making and the modern success of the Kerrygold brand. In the course of this story, the commercial, social, and domestic life of Ireland is recalled.

Travel Bug Robert - Cork Butter Museum
In this Travel Bug Robert episode, Robert travels to the Cork Butter Museum in Cork, Ireland. Museum curators rarely base exhibitions solely around dairy products, which makes the Cork Butter Museum unique, 'cause everything is about butter. The museum follows the history of butter in Cork, from the days of Irish kings to preindustrial manufacturing to the 20th Century when dairy farmers had to market their product to the world in the changing global economy. Learning about Cork's butter history provides a wonderfully unusual approach into learning about the entire history of Cork. The only downside: no butter samples.

So we are here at the Hunt Museum in Limerick city and its a fantastic museum with over two thousand works of art, all donated to the city by John and Gertrude Hunt, a very generous family. And we're lucky enough to see art from the stone age to the twentieth century. It's fantastic.
We're having some of the lovely desert at the Museum cafe. Its really worth a visit if you come to the Museum. Or even if you dont. Its worth the cake.
Cork Walking Tour: Butter, Bells, and Moore - Ep. 10
Battling sinus and allergies isn't enough to keep us locked up inside on a nice, sunny, spring day in Cork. We're still new to the city and really wanted to take the opportunity to get out and explore. We read about some self-guided walking tours that are marked around the city to help anyone looking to learn more about Cork, Ireland's history. We thought it would be a good way to get to know Cork while getting in some cardio!
Whether you're a resident or a tourist, this walk is fantastic if you're looking for places to see in Cork.

Ehrlich!
