Butterfly Garden at Changi Airport Singapore
Found an unexpected gem waiting for our flight.
Singapore Sentosa - Butterfly Park
The Butterfly Park is part of the Butterfly Park and Insect Kingdom attraction at Singapore's Sentosa. Singapore has about 290 known species of butterflies, and Butterfly Park claims that they have 70 species on display. I went on a quiet sunny day and spotted only a handful of species. There are not many butterflies on display. The main attractions in the park are the Toco Toucan, the Red-and-Green Macaws, the Blue-and-Yellow Macaws, and a lazy-looking Green Iguana, where visitors can take pictures with them for SGD10 for every picture. I also spotted 2 monitor lizards, a small one which moves freely and a large one kept behind glasses. A tiny house at the side is the pupa house, you will see many pupae inside and with a window slightly open to allow fully developed butterflies to escape. The place is quite small as you can see from the video. The place is open to the public everyday from 9.30am to 7pm. There is a small entrance fee though.
The world's best airport has a butterfly garden and a rooftop pool
Singapore Changi International Airport has been ranked the world's best airport by Skytrax for the last five years. The rankings are based on the impressions of nearly 14 million flyers from 105 countries and cover 39 service and performance parameters.
In addition to being an exemplary functioning airport, Changi Airport has a ton of attractions: restaurants, shopping options, art installations, themed gardens, playgrounds, and entertainment options.

Sentosa - Butterfly park & Insect Kingdom
A glimpse of my visit to Sentosa Butterfly park and insect Kingdom. The ticket is around SGD20 per person. The place is nice specially for kids, they can see new kinds of butterfly with different colors and colorful eggs.
When you visit, make sure that the weather is nice, coz for me it was humid.
The gear I used is CANON 7D Mark II with 100mm Macro lens and GO PRO 6 along with Tripod. This was my 1st video with macro lens, and surprisingly the video quality is better than go pro 6. The advantage of using go pro is wide angle. You may notice in my video, all the closeups were taken by macro lens. I didnt edit the clips of macro lens its direct from the camera, but for go pro YES, i have to edit a bit.
I had an amazing experience at the park, will go again in near future for more videos and photos.

THE BEST AIRPORT IN THE WORLD: Butterfly Garden & More -- Changi Airport, Singapore // 215
The Best Airport in the World: Part Two.
Changi Airport in Singapore is considered the best airport in the world and with due reasons. Changi airport boasts countless free attractions like 2 movie theaters, foot massage chairs, gaming zones, wifi, interactive decor, and much more. There's even a butterfly garden, an orchid garden, and a rooftop sunflower garden.
I do suggest spending way more time than usual at Changi airport. In fact, if I were you, I'd purposely book a long layover through Singapore just to experience everything Changi has to offer.
I began the day leaving Kuching, Malaysia, where I spent a week catching up on work and resting after a busy few days in Singapore. I'm only in Singapore now for a 12-hour layover before I continue on to Bangkok, Thailand, where I will start teaching English for 5 months.
One of the main attractions at Changi is the butterfly garden. This is a massive outdoor room with hundreds of beautiful butterflies fluttering around. They even have a home for baby butterflies coming out of their cocoons. It was a breathtaking sight.
Last time I was here, I didn't explore Terminal 3, but today I spent most of my time there. Terminal 3 in Changi Airport houses the butterfly garden, another (bigger) movie theater, tv lounge areas, restaurants, a coloring station, shops, and more. It's a popular terminal for layovers and transit stops.
It's really no wonder why people name Singapore Airport (Changi Airport) the Best Airport in the World.
