Buxton MTB Park – Buxton Fun
Highlights: 0:44 Off Camber | 2:53 Berm Descent | 4:55 Fern Gully | 5:46 Cathedral | 6:35 Gap Jump | 7:30 Dan Hangs Air | 8:03 Buxton BOM
Had a great time at Buxton MTB Park with my brother Paul and one of his regular riding buddies Dan, who is a fearless shredder. This video cover many of the fun descents that can be found at Buxton. It was forecast to be a warm day but thankfully the autumn morning chill helped keep temperatures amicable for the climb.
I also experimented with a bar and helmet GoPro mount
Riding with Dan is always a lot of fun, his laughter is both infectious and contagious. Don’t be fooled by his enthusiasm though, he’s a great rider and can lull you into a false sense of confidence that could see you on the wrong side of your bike. There was one sketchy moment Paul had that wasn’t quite captured on the GoPro but certainly left a mark.
‘Don’t trust the Welshman’ is a common cry amongst those that ride with Dan and who ended off second best. Just take a look a little further into the video when Dan attempts an 8 metre gap jump and makes it look easy. Yeeeew! Nice one Dan!

Buxton mtb park – Shifty Fifty Course Preview
I recently rode the course for the Buxton leg of the Shifty Fifty XC Series with a coupe of pals. This is a new 50km only format that looks like it's going to be super fun. It's always a good time when Buxton is involved.
I forgot how much Buxton mountain bike park has to offer. What it lacks in the amount of trails, it more than makes up for in quality. Awesome stuff!
More info on the Shifty Fifty series here:
The Buxton race will be on Sunday 5th May, 2019.

Buxton MTB Park | 06/04/2019
Perfect mild early autumn morning in the hills of Buxton Mountain Bike Park. Slightly damp from overnight rain, checking out Spider Gully and the full flow section of Cathedral Trail. Hitting the big jump line. Some of the biggest jumps Melbourne has to offer on sanctioned trails.
Buxton MTB Park - Yarra Ranges, Victoria // Berms for Days! - Acheron Ridge Trail
Travelling home recently from Melbourne, I took a detour through the Yarra Ranges via the Black Spur Drive (Google this... it's amazing), headed for Buxton - a town with a population of just over 200 and one of the most beautiful mountain bike trail networks I've had the pleasure of riding.
There is around 23 km of purpose built mountain bike single track in the park that can be ridden in a number of different length loops. The trails are ridden in one direction and are signed accordingly. The trails are characterised by gentle climbs and fast flowing descents.
The bermy flowy goodness on the 'Acheron Ridge' trail has to be ridden to be believed.

Buxton MTB - Acheron Ridge
Buxton(MTB)-Off Camber(Track-4)-Complete Run
Watch in 1080p. Trail Grade Blue(More Difficult).
Helmet cam run of Off Camber, Track 4 at Buxton MTB Park.
Starts on Acheron Ridge (Track 2). Finishes on Snakes and Ladders (Track 5). Length around 1.4km track is one way. Ridden on 12/4/2015.
This track is manly downhill with some small climbs it has lots of berms and some small drops and small jumps and of course good flow and strongly recommend doing it as a add on of the main loop Acheron Ridge(tack2) then can join back on to the loop using snakes and ladders and it is definitely worth the climb back up to the main trail.

Buxton Trout Farm provide an opportunity for everybody to come drop a line at their farm - Young or old, experienced or beginner, there is something for you!
Located in one of the most beautiful spots in the Victorian bush they grow their quality trout & salmon, providing a healthy food source and a memorable day out.
Buxton Trout and Salmon Farm is Australia’s first trout farm where trout have been bred for over 50 years. The gravity fed water supply originates from the snowfields of Lake Mountain before cascading down Stevensons Falls and through its streams providing the perfect place to grow a clean, natural food. No antibiotic chemicals or growth hormones are used on the farm, so your catch will be the freshest tasting fish you will ever eat. The farm is a vertically integrated experience – they hatch the fish on site and sell them ready for you to eat!
