Mundaring Weir Western Australia, jewel of the Perth hills in HD
A short flyover of the dam at Mundaring Weir in the Perth Hills, Western Australia. Completed in 1903 to pump water to the parched Kalgoorlie goldfields 700km away. The brainchild of C.Y. O'Connor; a brilliant engineer who endured public criticism over the ambitious project and sadly took his own life before completion of the scheme.

Southern Cross is a town in Western Australia, 371 kilometres east of Perth on the Great Eastern Highway. It was founded by gold prospectors in 1888, and gazetted in 1890.[2] It is the major town and administrative centre of the Shire of Yilgarn.[3] At the 2006 census, Southern Cross had a population of 708.[1]
The town of Southern Cross is one of the many towns which run along the Mundaring to Kalgoorlie Goldfields Water Supply Scheme engineered by C. Y. O'Connor.[4]
A succession of gold rushes in the Yilgarn region near Southern Cross in 1887, at Coolgardie in 1892, and at Kalgoorlie in 1893 caused a population explosion in the barren and dry desert centre of Western Australia.
It is named after the Southern Cross constellation,[2] and the town's most significant streets are named after stars.
Southern Cross is on the standard gauge railway from Perth to Kalgoorlie and beyond. The Prospector and Indian Pacific passenger trains service the town. The former narrow gauge railway reached Southern Cross on 1 July, 1894.[5]
Australia Travel Guide
Sydney is the state capital of New South Wales and the most populous city in Australia. Sydney's urban area is in a coastal basin, which is bordered by the Pacific Ocean to the east, the Blue Mountains to the west, the Hawkesbury River to the north and the Royal National Park to the south.
The most important places to visit in Sydney are: Sydney Opera House (among the world's most recognized landmarks. Set on the Sydney harbor, it is an unforgettable sight), Sydney Harbor Bridge (simply called the bridge by locals, courageous ones can even climb up the bridge), Bronte Beach (lesser known than Bondi, it is a beautiful beach, popular amongst families), Blue Mountains (an unspoiled mountain range filled with Eucalyptus trees. It is located 30 miles from Sydney, and there are plenty of hiking trails), Bondi Beach (Sydney's most famous beach, its lively promenade is as exciting as the beach) and many more

AlbanyRegionDVD4 Denmark
Denmark is a picturesque country town, nestled on the tranquil Denmark River and Wilson Inlet. Its surrounded by magnificent lush forest that cascades down to the waters edge.
In the early 1800s it was named after Alexander Denmark, a naval physician.
The town gained some notoriety in the 1970s when a small hippy commune lifestyle evolved from the idyllic and tranquil setting.
The area presents a perfect picture of naturally occurring and stunning contrasts.
Lights Beach, a mysterious beach of light and colour and often with a painting like scenery, there are two parts to the beach, both are popular.
Ocean Beach is a popular surfers beach and swimming is great for all ages.

The life of C.Y O'Connor
This is a Solo documentary/Story I did on C.Y O'Connor for a uni assignment. I was working on this while working on Suicide:
I chose C.Y O'Connor because he seemed like an interesting guy, and it would've been something fresh and new. I hope you enjoy.
Also, I have a speaking role in this, which was filmed in my car 6 hours before the project was actually due, PLUS I had a really bad flu, so that's why my voice is a little out there.
Anyway, I Hope you guys enjoy.
Perth - Australien

Old Fremantle Power Station
a little tour through the building
Casting an imposing shadow over C.Y. O'Connor beach is a decaying monument to our past and a stunning showcase of brutalist architecture. Closed in 1985, the South Fremantle Power Station now resembles a decrepit shell of its former glory, coated in a mosaic of urban art.
The abandoned South Fremantle Power Station in North Coogee was opened in 1951 after five years of construction to power a growing Perth and Fremantle metropolis
