Walking around Christmas Lights in PORTO & COIMBRA / Portugal ????????- 4K 60fps (UHD)
For Christmas time this evening we walk around the Portuguese city of Porto and Coimbra.
Porto in northwest Portugal is known for its port wine and is the second largest city of the country after Lisbon. Coimbra is Portugals former capital and also has a nicely preserved old town.
We start the first evening tour in Porto and walk towards the town hall (Câmara Municipal do Porto) with a large christmas tree and lights. From there we head up north to the church Igreja da Santíssima Trindade and again downhill towards the old town and Douro River. Another section with lights is the Rua de Fernandes Tomás with the Chapel Almas de Santa Catarina where we soon end this walk.
In Coimbra our tour starts near the Mondego River South of the city centre. It's late already. There are few people left on the streets. We see the Rua Ferreira Borges walking street with nearby churches Igreja de São Tiago and Igreja de Santa Cruz. The lights decorations in the the small streets in the old town.
Some walks during daytime of both cities Porto and Coimbra will be posted sometime soon.
Happy holidays!

COIMBRA - PORTUGAL - VISITE À PIED
Coimbra - Portugal - Visite à pied
Stationnement: 40.205432, -8.431824
On verra bien...

The Hide Show - freemasons in internal political party elections (PS/Coimbra)
The goal was to see how a single masonic obedience (GOL - Grande Oriente Lusitano) influenced internal elections for the local leaders of the most voted political party (Socialist Party, PS) in one city (Coimbra, Portugal). Methods: we used a leaked list of 1951 freemasons from GOL that was disclosed in 2012 - this is only a part of the members of this masonic obedience, one of many in Portugal. The results show that even one masonic obedience, GOL, almost completely dominated all elections of a political party during a very long period of time (the study spanned 4 decades) and also dominated the main local eligible political power positions. Moreover, a consistent history of frauds, corruption, scandals and condemnations was found, which was not expected. The public largely ignores this and the mainstream media has not yet condensed its many published articles into a single, easy-to-understand, news story or infography.

JULY 4TH IN COIMBRA - Since 1970, the Coimbra city holiday is on 4 July, the day of death of the patron saint, Queen Santa Isabel. On this day, in addition to the solemn acts, there are other ones to celebrate the City Day. On a hot day like today (37 degrees centigrade), here is the record of my walk this morning, when one could still walk down the street! Highlight some pictures of the first Festival of Social Crochet (sponsored by the Town Hall in partnership with institutions of social solidarity in facing pieces crochet multicolored on trees and urban objects), and also pictures of Urban Craft Fair held in Low City.

COIMBRA - FEIRA DOS LÁZAROS
Cultura: Feira dos Lázaros cumpre a tradição
Escrito por Geraldo Barros
07-Mar-2008

Prazer a ver e a ouvir!
