East-point with Breeze Boat-trips & CURious2DIVE 2016
A spin off to East-point with Breeze Boat-trips. A nice and easy sea together with Captain Evert and his crew made the trip possible. CURious2DIVE was responsible for the diving. On this occasion we also brought our Lionfish equipment.
First dive almost at the Eastpoint of Curacao was very beautiful the reef is unspoiled and the amount of fish and the diversity is enormous. You can see that it's not as much dived as the easy shore entries.
Enjoying the dive and searching for the Lionfish were two easy goals. Lionfish you find everywhere so our LCU was filled in a split second.
In between dives for this occasion Captain Evert prepared a BBQ-lunch and I must say it was a big surprise, we relaxed in Fuikbaai.
Second dive was a little west from Ambrak and again a beautiful dive. We did some shooting not as much as on the first dive but we also had a fan under water. A big green moray Eel that was following us because of the LCU filled with fish.
This perfect dive trip with perfect crew made it an unforgettable experience at East-point Curacao unspoiled diving.

Search & Recovery of Amerigo Vespucci's anchor at Caracasbaai Curacao
In 1499 Alonso de Ojeda and Amerigo Vespucci Left Spain to sail to the Caribbean. On the way they lost each other and every sailed it's own course. According to both they discovered Curacao.
Alonso declared under oath in 1513 that he discovered Curacao. But he didn't fill in the logbook, so this is disputed. However Vespucci declared in letters to friends that he discovered Curacao on September 7th 1499. He found some big footsteps on the beach and called the island, Islas de los Gigantes.
The story tells also that his sailboat anchored at Caracasbaai, and when they saw those giant footsteps they ran off back to the boat cut the anchor and sailed away.
At CURious2DIVE we found out the location and started a project Vespucci's anchor recovery at Caracasbaai with Marjolein and Teunis.
SECORE Reef Conservation at Curacao is 100% supported by CURious2DIVE
Reef Conservation is necessary because for the endangered specie of Elkhorn Coral. Yearly SECORE organizes workshops and collects coral spawning for their conservation program. As of the beginning CURious2DIVE is supporting them all the way. We guide the scientists in the water during the night-dives 20:15 - 23:00 hours. But we also provide equipment. During the rest of the year we spread the program at our customers to make everybody more aware of the reefs and how fragile they are. We guide divers and snorkelers to the Elkhorn Corals.

15th Caribbean Jamboree Videoclip
The theme of this Jamboree is Life: Tracking Treasure. Life itself is a treasure. The path of life is a discovery of treasures. The Lord our Divine Father has given us everything to make our life joyful, but it is our own task to develop ourselves to achieve our own happiness. Our purpose in life is not to become successful but our first priority is to honor the success that is already in our hands which is: ourselves. With other words life is not about getting more but to become more! Lord our Father has given us a lot of treasures to become the person we are meant to be. With the activities throughout the Jamboree we focus on creating a unique experience that fosters positive energy and generates commitment from the participants to become a Messenger of Peace in their community (country). This will be accomplished through the program in which the activities/themes will be built around our treasures in life such as:
• our body and mind
• our intelligence
• our family and friends
• our wishes and dreams
• our nature
