Took a few days off to go and see Japan. It was beckoning.
I did Osaka and Kyoto. Te Kyoto vlog is, as of time of upload, yet to come. Look out for it. It was so much fun!
Osaka is a great city; I stayed in a pod hotel, visited Osaka Castle, ate street food on Dotonbori and drank whisky looking out onto the Doton canal.

OSAKA - Capsule Hotel - So Many People
As one of the aims of this blog was to show that Japan is affordable I was immediately drawn to the concept of capsule hotels. In Tokyo I was too apprehensive to give it a try. In Kyoto I took the plunge and stayed in a capsule hotel. it met my basic needs of a good nights sleep at an affordable price. Therefore for Osaka I made an internet booking in a capsule hotel through AGOGA. In retrospect I should have been more adventurous and tried a 24 hour Cybercafe that offers a night-pack for half the cost of a capsule hotel.
The other aspect of Osaka that struck me was the sheer number of people downtown. I did not get impression in Tokyo but it sure hit me here.
Trip to Osaka, Japan [T]
On Christmas 2017, for one week we went to family vacation at Osaka, Japan, we went to Osaka Castle, Osaka Aquarium Kaiyukan, Tsutentaku, Fushimi-Inari Kyoto, Umeda Sky Building, Universal Studio Japan, Dontobori, Den Den Town, Nara Park, Rinku Town, we travel around Osaka using Icoca card with our one year old son.
