From Playa Rincon to cabo cabron, Samana, Dominican Republic
Timelapse, Exploring the only road from Playa rincon to Cabo Cabron, we managed to go all the way until there was no more room for our truck, ( around 10 kms) would say 3/4 the way to cabo cabron if you are going to give it a shot make sure you have very good tires ( lots of sharp rocks all the way ) a winch is recomended is case you get some rain and high clearance to avoid any damage ( trail dificulty for trucks I would say is medium, if you have any questions please leave a comment, enjoy

Playa Rincon Beach Caño Frio Samana Dominican Republic 4K
Rincon Beach, mentioned within the five most beautiful beaches of the world, is located at a remote part of the Dominican Republic in between two well known capes (cabos): Cabo Cabron and Cabo Samana.
Located on the Samana Peninsula, between “Cabo Cabron” and “Cabo Samana” this magnificent bay with white sands is one of the five most beautiful beaches in the world. A small river called “Caño Frio” passes the bay and you may enjoy a refreshing bath in its’ cool water.
This stunning emerald-colored river doubles as a popular natural swimming pool where it meets the ocean on the western end of Playa Rincón. Residents and visitors love to cool off here, before or after enjoying fresh fish and lobster–cooked on nearby fire hearths by multiple food vendors–away from the tourist throngs on the eastern side of the beach. Walk farther back from the ocean following the river, and you’ll end up in denser forest, where Río Caño Frío’s mangrove-lined waters turn turquoise, even crisper and fresher. You’ll think you’ve found the Garden of Eden.

Samaná is located on the coast of the Atlantic Ocean in the northeastern part of the Dominican Republic. It is known for its mountains of which it is almost entirely formed. Samaná has numerous beaches, and with the 6 November 2006 opening of the new Samaná El Catey International Airport, it is bound to become one of major tourist destinations in the Dominican Republic.
Samaná is considered one of the most beautiful areas of the Dominican Republic, yet remains one of the least known by Dominican natives in general and foreign visitors in particular. Its tourist industry has not yet exploited the full potential of its location: the tropical forests, coconut groves, hundreds of cozy alcove beaches with turquoise crystal clear waters, waterfalls, protected national parks, a protected bay, a peninsula.
Samana area offers a variety of underwater funds for diving, good for beginners and for advanced divers, as Cabo Cabron, Punta Balandria and Cayo Levantado. During the months of winter hundreds of humpback whales are in the bay to mate.
Excursions are available, for a fee, from the resort. Visit the famous Las Haitises National Park, where you can explore La Arena cave, tour mangrove swamps, visit Bird Key, and stop at Naranjito area wher eyou can chat with the local fishermen and swim in an underground river. Other excursions include horseback riding in Las Galeras, riding a boat to Colorada Beach and Rincon Beach, four-wheeling in to Lulu waterfall, and much more. Golfers can make the two-hour trip to the Playa Grande Golf Course. Designed by Robert Trent Jones, this famous course offers 18 holes, of which 10 are set along the water. In addition private boats and a helicopter are available for a fee upon request.

Playa Rincon Samana Republica Dominicana
Rated by Conde Nast Travel magazine as one of the prettiest beaches in the world (and unquestionably the best in the Caribbean), Playa Rincon is bordered on three sides by mountainous ridges and features thousands of coconut palms as the backdrop for it’s 1 ½ miles of panoramic, sandy strand. At one end of the white sand beach is a cove with protected waters that are ideal for swimming or just “soaking,” sitting in the refreshing water with a cold drink in one’s hand on a hot day. A rocky point forms the cove’s eastern shore and snorkeling along its rocks is popular. There are also several other reefs and rocky patches close in to Playa Rincon’s sweeping shoreline where the snorkeling is also good. Several restaurants are situated by the cove and in addition to serving good food, beach chairs may be rented there.
At the other end of the beach is the Cano Frio, a small, freshwater stream that forms a natural border between the beach and the steep edge of the mountainous Cabo Cabron National Park. It winds its way to the bay from about a mile back in the foothills where it originates from several small, natural springs.
