DEATH POOL DAY TRIP
By car:
- P2,000 – full tank gas would normally enough for a round-trip from Manila.
- P500 - approx toll fees one way.
Commute from Manila:
· P427 – bus one way to Alaminos (Victory)
· P60 - bus to Burgos
· P300 – tryk to Cabongaoan beach
· P500 – cottage

ACCOMMODATION
A safe bet would be to stay in Alaminos City.  There are plenty of accommodations to choose from in the city center.

Where to eat in Cabongaoan?
Bring your own food or buy food by the beach proper (unpredictable).

How to get there.
From Alaminos City, drive off to the town of Burgos. Ask your way for Cabongaon beach  when you reach Burgos. The drive to the beach from Burgos town center is an adventure in itself!

We drove for about 30 minutes of fun easy drive with almost no cars in sight. We practically had the road to ourselves. The drive offered some breathtaking views of rolling hills. We passed goats crossing the roads. Cows, carabaos and horses grazing the green landscapes on both sides. We passed over some small villages with their dogs lazily lying in the middle of the road. Farmers going on with their day-to-day activities.

DEATH POOL
So you've heard of the now famous Death Pool in Burgos. It is on the right side of Cabongaoan beach just a few minutes walk over a boulder. These open pit holes look scary and probably even dangerous but people do dive in it. The sea water tide goes beneath this natural platform that is quiet strong and it can get very rough. I don't see this as a place to have fun but it's quite spectacle nonetheless.

CABONGAOAN BEACH
This beach will make your weekend get-away well worth the long drive. A beautiful beach with soft yellow-orange sand where you can rent a picnic hut from the many local start-up resorts along the beach.

Hi! Welcome to my Channel. I'm Glenn Gonzales and I've love doing TV(travel vids).

Cabongaoan is a white sand beach located in Burgos, Pangasinan. Coming from Manila, it takes about five hours to reach the beach, if traffic is willing. However, the beach is not yet as popular as Bolinao due to its relative inaccessibility. But as of the moment, roads are under construction to encourage more tourists to visit this previously undiscovered and remote location.

Cabongaoan beach is one of the emerging and popular destinations in Pangasinan

Hellowy everyone!

Sharing our Pangasinan Escapade to you. This is our second time to visit this paradise courtesy of our very good friend, Rio.

Travel from Manila to Pangasinan took us about 5-6 hours because we did a side trip to Clark Pampanga. Kupaw-Kupaw is just 5 minutes away from Alma`s Cottages located in Tambobong. You can bring a car with you or commute, but it’s easier to bring a private car especially if you are planning to do side trips and bring a lot of pasalubongs on your way home. Plus take not that fish and fruits are way cheaper in Dasol. Don`t forget to buy SALT too.

To commute: Take a bus from Metro Manila to Alaminos, Pangasinan (P500). You can take a bus in the following terminals: Cubao, Pasay, Trinoma and Avenida. From there, take another bus en route to Sta. Cruz, Zambales, and get off at Burgos, Pangasinan (P30).  In Burgos, you can charter a tricycle to either Tambobong or Cabongaoan Beach (P300-350 one way).

Entrance fee is P50.00 each but if you are from Tambobong, entrance is just free
What you`ll see are the amazing rock formations, death pool, crystal clear water, and lovely sunrise/sunset

DEATH POOL OF CABONGAOAN BEACH PANGASINAN [KaTruepa Travels]

There's a concealed shoreline of Western part of Pangasinan, the Cabongaoan beach.
Situated in Brgy. Ilo-Ilo, Burgos, Pangasinan. On that day....
Colour of the sea: The sea was jewel-blue to crystal clear to the edge.
The sky: The sky was like unbroken sea of blue.
In the sky: curtain of white clouds drifted past.
The horizon: The horizon was a line of silver-blue.
Sea sounds: The sea song of the waves soothed me.
Motion: The waves were rippling gently.
On the sea: Small group of Seaweed got washed up on the beach.
The beach: The beach was shaped like a cove.
Waves: Calm wave to rippling blanket of jewel-blue on the death pool part
Salt smell: The air was pregnant with the smell of salt.
Sensations: It was a relaxing experience.
People: the locals specially the owner of the Roven's resort are kind.
Thanks to Ms. Venus who and his husband who prepared rice for our lunch.

How to get there:
Via Bus (Victory Liner or Five Star Liner)
If you are from Manila, (By our experience) Ride an airconditioned bus from Five Star terminal (yes naka-experience din ng five star kahit bus lang XD)
going to Aliminos. From Alaminos, ride a regular bus and tell to the conductor to drop you off to Burgos Public Market, from there ride a tricycle going to the beach.

Tips:
*From Burgos Public Market you can buy some food for your picnic although,
*You can buy or request to the owner of the resort to prepare meals for you, just tell them upon entering the resort.
*We stayed at Roven's place, Ms. Venus and her husband are verry accomodating. Thank you.
*Get the contact number of the tricycle driver so you can contact him whenever you need a service going back.
*Smart signal is weaker compared to Globe, you can have the better near the Toledo Villa
*Bus Schedules going directly to Cubao (7:00pm, 9:00pm, 11:00pm)

Total Damage:
1. Bus (Cubao to Alaminos) : Php 393.00
2. Bus (Alaminos to Burgos Public Market) : Php 30.00
3. Tricycle (Burgos Public Market to Roven's resort) : Php 300 to Php 400 - Just try your haggaling skills you can get the lowest fare
4. Tent Pitching Php 150.00
5. Entrance Php 50.00
5. 1kg boiled rice (requested) Php 70.00
6. Travel snack (optional)
