[Voiceover] For golfers,
the greatest meeting of land and sea in North America
might no longer be the Monterey Peninsula,
it might just be tiny Inverness, Nova Scotia.
Along the Canadian shoreline of the Gulf of Saint Lawrence,
around the horn from the Atlantic Ocean,
this area is home to two dramatic new golf courses
that offer all the challenge and scenery
of Pebble Beach and Cypress Point
and then some.
The slightly older of the two courses is called Cabot Links,
and it was designed and built
by Canadian golf architect, Rod Whitman.
It's starts and ends on genuine sand dunes
that were artificially reshaped to promote some really fun
bump and run playing.
Players will also encounter marshland
and a tidal basin,
called MacIssacs Pond,
plus six thrilling holes along the oceans edge
that will make them taste the salt spray.
A mile north, and on higher bluffs,
is the second course Cabot Cliffs.
This -hole design is a phenomenal accomplishment
by the American team of Bill Coore and Ben Crenshaw,
and it features a collection of holes
unlike any this famous duo have created before.
One hole tumbles from sand dunes into a river valley,
Another plays from dense pines to a green
backdropped by the shimmering Gulf of Saint Lawrence.
And the final three holes here
are as pulse-pounding as any in golf.
The par- th hole plays over a deep ocean cove.
The par- th has a daunting blind tee shot
to a cliff-top fairway.
And the par- th heads south along the coast
with ocean ravines gnawing into the fairway
at critical points.
These are young resort courses,
but already world class.
Cabot Links is ranked rd on Golf Digest's list
of the world's greatest golf courses,
and Cabot Cliffs is ranked th.
That tells you something.

Cabot Links As You've Never Seen It Before | GOLF.com
Set hard along a cliff-lined coast in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia, Canada's hottest golf destination evokes Scotland and Cypress Point. (Nice company, right?)
When GOLF.com's Josh Sens paid a visit to the seven-year-old resort, he found not only a powerhouse pair of links courses but also a unique charm to this quiet corner of the golf world.
Cabot Cliffs, Cabot Links and Links at Brunello - Canada Golf Trip
The Boss Golfs – Golf Course Review Cabot Cliffs, Cabot Links and The Links at Brunello.
Part 1 of my 2018 Epic Golf Trip Series took me to Nova Scotia, Canada. Canada is amazingly rich with beautiful golf courses and I was fortunate to play some of the best. My journey started with a flight into Halifax, Nova Scotia followed by a four-hour drive to Inverness. By all accountants, this is the cheapest and easiest way to reach Cabot Golf Links. While a long trek, trust me it is worth it. Cabot Golf Links has a very similar feel to Bandon Dunes and Sand Valley. All courses are owned by the Keiser family, and they just get golf on a higher level. Be prepared that playing golf at Cabot Links will feel like you have entered a golf Shangri-La. Cabot Links is for the true golf enthusiast, who desire golf in its purest form, like Bandon Dunes and Sand Valley.
The First Course I played was Cabot Cliffs, and before I move too far along in my review, it is the new #1 golf course I have ever played. Cabot Cliffs has the best combination of Seaside holes and inland holes I have ever seen. Designed by Coore & Crenshaw, Cabot Cliffs has merged everything I love about Pebble Beach, Quivira, Kingsbarns and Bandon Trails into one seamless pleasant walk. Like all Coore & Crenshaw courses, you will be blown away at the natural beauty in front of you, unique shots and approaches into the greens and the playability. Beautiful seaside holes are abundant but many of the true gems are the inland holes which make you forget that you were just looking at the ocean. Every whole on Cabot Cliffs is memorable, which is the reason it overtook my previous #1 Pebble Beach. Cabot Cliffs is ranked the #1 golf course in Canada and #19 on the 100 Greatest Course by Golf Digest, and for a great reason it is outstanding in every way.
My second Course was Cabot Links. Cabot Links is a great links course and is Canada’s first and only true links golf course. If you are a fan of links golf this is a perfect course. Nestled in Dunes and hugging the coastline this course is a true test of your links game. Five holes are along the beach, but you can see the ocean from every hole. Unlike Cabot Cliffs, you do not stand a logical chance of hitting your ball into the ocean, but you feel the effects of the ocean wind more on the Links than you do on the Cliffs. Cabot Links is the #5 course in Canada and #93 on the Top 100 Greatest Golf Courses by Golf Digest
After playing 36 holes for two days, I packed up and drove the four hours back to Halifax and before I flew home I played The Links at Brunello, on the recommendation of my Teaching Pro Steve Bosdosh. I am very happy I took the recommendation. Ranked #22 in Canada. Links at Brunello is a beautiful course with tight fairways lined with large granite boulders. If you are hitting the ball offline this course is very unforgiving but even if you lose a few balls you will enjoy a round at this course. Each hole is framed by tall pines and is very well bunkered. The conditions were outstanding at Brunello. Dramatic elevation changes give you beautiful views of Halifax, Mountains and expanding forest. The Links at Brunello was an awesome conclusion to an amazing trip in Canada. The Links at Brunello is only 20 minutes from the airport, I highly recommend making it apart of your golf trip if you are heading to Cabot Links or just in Halifax.
Cabot Links rooms were fully booked so I stayed off the property and I was fortunate to stay at an amazing cottage only 20 minutes away, Cajun Cedar Cottages. The property has 8 fully stocked cottages and great customer services. The price was great, and I had some of the best sleep I have had in years.

Never is the game of golf more appealing than when a course is set in a rugged, oceanfront landscape, on linksland running firm and fast. This is Cabot Links, where the holes spread out between the sea and the village of Inverness. As designed by gifted Canadian golf course architect, Rod Whitman—where every hole offers an ocean view and where five holes play directly adjacent to the beach. This is the first authentic links in Canada, and one of the world’s greatest courses. This is Cabot Links.

Cabot Links Golf Resort - Canada Golf in Nova Scotia
Here's a small video montage of my trip to Cabot Link in Nova Scotia. There are now two 18 hole layouts and in my opinion, the Links course is much more enjoyable. It's just better golf.
