Walk along with me on a 3.3 mile day hike around Caesars Creek. I would classify this trail as an easy hike. Although not well marked as it has lots of unofficial trails branching off that can be misleading it was still an enjoyable hike.
Rare White Trumpeter Swans Spotted At Spring Valley Wildlife Area Waynesville, Ohio
Two white trumpeter swans have landed at Spring Valley Wildlife area near Waynesville, Ohio. The couple may be nesting their this year even though Ohio is not listed as one of the states they nest in. At one time only 60 of these swans were left on this earth. Alaska has more of them than any other state. The video quality is not good but a rare treat none the less.

SUMMARY
=======
Midwestern cuisine is a regional cuisine of the American Midwest. It draws its culinary roots most significantly from the cuisines of Central, Northern and Eastern Europe, and Native North America, and is influenced by regionally and locally grown foodstuffs and cultural diversity.Everyday Midwestern home cooking generally showcases simple and hearty dishes that make use of the abundance of locally grown foods. Its culinary profiles may seem synonymous with American food. Quoted in a 2007 interview with the Daily Herald, Chef Stephen Langlois, a pioneer in the Midwestern local food movement, described it: Think of Thanksgiving dinner. Turkey and cranberry sauce and wild rice and apple pie.The Midwest's restaurants also offer a diverse mix of ethnic cuisines as well as sophisticated, contemporary techniques.
Suspected Shooter Worked at VA for 27 Years
DAYTON -- The Dayton VA Medical Center is back open Monday night after a shooting in the basement of the main hospital.
Dayton Police Chief Richard Biehl says the shooting suspect, Neil Moore, is a retired employee at the VA. He reportedly worked in its housekeeping department.
Moore was employed as a housekeeping aide from August 1986 until his retirement in October of 2013.
Biehl say one person was injured about 12:10 p.m. Monday. Paul Burnside, 61, sustained a gunshot wound to an ankle. His injury is not considered life-threatening.
Burnside struggled with Moore over the revolver he was carrying, Biehl said.
Moore was taken into custody at Good Samaritan Hospital, where he was seeking a psychological evaluation.
Biehl says at least three people witnessed the incident, but he did not provide details about exactly what they saw.
I went into the bathroom, but the bathroom door didn't have a lock, so we went into the stall and locked the door, said one employee on the premises.
According to VA Medical Center Director Glenn Costie, the shooting happened in a break room in the basement of the VA hospital.
Officials don't believe there are any other injuries but first responders are going room-to-room to make sure. The VA will remain closed to visitors until that process is completed.
Patients already in the hospital are continuing to receive care. They can be contacted through their room phone or the hospital switchboard at 937-268-6511.
We talked with witnesses who were on lockdown, all the patients were in the lobby and they made us get all of them inside and lock the actual doors, said Lorie Walker.
Biehl says the response to the shooting included several area agencies, including Dayton police, Montgomery County Sheriff's Office, Ohio Department of Natural Resources, Five River MetroParks rangers, FBI agents and VA police.
Trotwood police also aided in tracking down the home of Moore in Trotwood.
