Caiman Ecological Refuge, Pantanal, Brazil - Manduvi Tree planting 2019 Jul. 18
We plant a Manduvi Tree with Lucas, a Field Assistant with Projeto Arara Azul (a.k.a. The Hyacinth Macaw Project) at Caiman Ecological Refuge in the Southern Pantanal region of Brazil. Founded by Neiva Guedes, Projeto Arara Azul is a leader in the research, management, and conservation of the species. Manduvi trees (Sterculia apetala) are critical to the survival of Hyacinth Macaws, as 90% of their nests are constructed in this tree.
Caiman Ecological Refuge, Pantanal, Brazil - Jaguar male (Pinche) 2019 Jul. 15
We came across a male Jaguar (Pinche) at night during an outing with Onçafari, a conservation initiative that aims to promote ecotourism, especially wildlife watching, in the Pantanal (Brazil) by habituating Jaguars in order for people to witness the behavior of these animals, from a vehicle, while on safari. This took place at Caiman Ecological Refuge in the Southern Pantanal region of Brazil

Proving that nature is an enduring partner, the proof of Klabin's visionary work was there for us to see.
Dazzling Surroundings & Delicious Dinners Under the Stars Caiman Ecological Refuge Pantanal, Brazil
Staff at Caiman Ecological Refuge turned the remote, forest Pantanal surroundings into a fairyland with hundreds of lanterns. Beef carved off the spit, Caipirinha (practically the Brazilian national cocktail) and so much other food.
What a surprise to find such excellent accommodation, game drives and personnel in this remote area of Brazil.

Onçafari no Cerrado - Pousada Trijunção
