Cairngorm Dog Sled Centre: its about nine years old now and its mostly to show people what our way of life is with sled dogs. We take people out on training trips. We do courses as well. But the main thing is to actually give people a real insight into what a sled dog is.

The ATV's (All Terrain Vehicles) quad units are actually training devices we can hold the dogs back we don't take people out in circus acts we don't have a dog team that takes people out. We are actually training the dogs all the time. So we're actually putting miles, controlled miles and training trips we are preparing dogs that have never ran beside each other before so the quads play an enormous part in training.

TYPICAL SLED DOG HUSKY RACE IN THE UK
A friend filmed a typical Siberian Husky race in the UK where my wife was defending her number one position in the six-dog class. The race would have been held over approximately five miles at an average speed for the top teams of about 18 miles per hour.
