CALA SAN VICENTE BEACH Like so many Ibiza beaches, Cala San Vicente offers a curve of golden sand with clear waters, backed by a promenade. It's safe, beautiful and in this case wonderfully wide, so even when busy in high season there's usually space to be found. Cala San Vicente is particularly impressive, however, because of its unbelievably brilliant azure water, and the spectacular clifftop lookout from the southern approaching road from which to view it.
Palm trees are dotted along the small traffic-free promenade with beachside cafes. This beach can get windy at times, and the sea a little choppy, but it is often all the more beautiful for that. Cala San Vicente is populated with an international crowd: lots of young people, families, couples and the elderly, as it's easily accessible.
Ibiza (Catalan: Eivissa ) is an island in the Mediterranean Sea, 150 kilometres off the coast of the city of Valencia, in eastern Spain. It is the third largest of the Balearic Islands, an autonomous community of Spain. Its largest cities are Ibiza Town (Catalan: Vila d'Eivissa, or simply Vila), Santa Eulària des Riu, and Sant Antoni de Portmany. Its highest point, called Sa Talaiassa (or Sa Talaia), is 475 metres) above sea level.
Due to Ibiza's notable tolerance toward misbehaviour from young adult tourists, it has acquired the sobriquet Gomorrah of the Med. Also well-known is Café del Mar, a long-standing bar where many tourists traditionally view the sunset made famous by José Padilla, who has released more than a dozen eponymous album compilations of ambient music played at the location. That and other bars nearby have become an increasingly popular venue for club pre-parties after sunset, hosting popular DJ performers.

Santa Eulalia has fine white sand, busy promenades and fantastic bars and cafes... Santa Eulalia has a serene holiday feel.
Below the splendid promenade, the Town Hall of Santa Eulalia has created an extremely good long, wide beach of fine, white sand drawn from the sea. The waters are clean and shallow, safe for children and very inviting for less confident swimmers. The beach has been entirely smoke-free, since 2015, in bid to keep the sands pristine for all who visit it. There are excellent watersports facilities and boat day trips available from the nearby marina. Between the white sand, busy and well facilitated promenade and sparkling clean waters, Santa Eulalia beach has the ultimate holiday getaway atmosphere.
While it is one-sixth the size of nearby Majorca, Ibiza is over five times the size of Mykonos (Greece), or ten times the size of Manhattan Island. Ibiza has become famous for the association with nightlife and the electronic music that originated on the island. It is well known for its summer club scene which attracts very large numbers of tourists, though the island's government and the Spanish Tourist Office have controversially been working to promote more family-oriented tourism.
Ibiza is considered to be a popular tourist destination, especially due to its legendary and at times riotous nightclub based nightlife centred on two areas: Ibiza Town, the island's capital on the southern shore and Sant Antoni to the West. Well-known nightclubs are Privilege, Amnesia, Space, Pacha, Es Paradís and DC10. During the summer, the top producers and DJs in dance come to the island and play at the various clubs, in between touring to other international destinations. Some of the most famous DJs run their own weekly nights around the island. Many of these DJs use Ibiza as an outlet for presenting new songs within the house, trance and techno genres of electronic dance music. The city has achieved renowned worldwide fame as a cultural center for house and trance in particular, with its name often being used as a partial metonym for the particular flavor of electronic music originating there, much like Goa in India.

PORTINATX BEACH One of Ibiza's best known beauty spots, the little resort Portinatx is a popular stop on the Round The Island excursion. The bay offers magnificent panoramic views, crystalline clear water that's great for snorkelling, high, rocky shorelines and a seabed of fine, white sand. There are three good, sandy beaches in this area, all safe for children and offering a variety of activities.
The largest is in the bay across from the main coach park, S'Arenal Gros; little S'Arenal Petit, which is more private, is around the corner from the rocky promontory to the left. The third is Playa Porto Beach, surrounded by little pineclad hillocks, it is in a little cove at the end of the main road where you'll also find the lighthouse. There are fantastic scenic walks and spectacular photo opportunities around these beaches, so it's worth taking the time to explore.

ES CANÁ BEACH A little further along the coast than Santa Eulalia you'll find the popular resort of Es Caná which is wrapped around a very long, horseshoe-shaped beach of golden sand, gently lapped by clear waters with a small harbour at one end. This beach is ideal for families as the wide the beach shelves gently into the sea making it safe for the little ones to play safely in the shallow water. Though frequented by an eclectic mix of people, the well facilitated resort nature of this beach makes it particularly popular with British families and couples.
Though its length means there are plenty of chilled out relaxing spots, Es Caná is also well known for its water sports. Here you can have an action-packed day on the waterskis, pedaloes, para-sailing, banana boats, boat trips leaving from the small harbour and - for something more low key - there are some good fishing spots down the harbour end.

Below the busy promenade, the Town Hall of San Antonio has created a long, wide beach of fine, white sand drawn from the sea. Being easy to walk to, and backed by holiday accommodation, this beach is popular but never appears too full.
The waters are shallow, safe, and great for messing about in - perfect for what is largely a youth-focused beach in the summer. Being the closest beach to San Antonio workers' blocks and youth hostels (meaning plenty of PRs on the prowl), in summer it is full of twenty-somethings socialising and relaxing, with music often spilling out from the many bars along the promenade.
There are excellent watersports facilities and boat trips can be caught to other beaches from the nearby Harbour. In the evenings the beach is awash in a golden light, and becomes a great place to watch the sun set behind the many boats moored further out in the bay.
