Calahonda - For a winter holiday at the beach
Calahonda is situated between Marbella and Fuengirola and is a much-loved holiday destination.
Calahonda gets less than 50 days of rain per year, making it a perfect winter destination. It has fantastic sport and leisure activities (tennis, gold, horse riding...). The cuisine is excellent as well, as is the harbour where you can find plenty of excursions to go on.
This self-sufficient resort provides an excellent base for exploring the Costa del Sol. Since the majority of visitors to this part of the coast are British, this is the perfect location if you are looking for a home away from home, but better, in the sun and located on top of the beach.

The new coastal wooden path that connects La Cala de Mijas to Calahonda is now open.
Want to enjoy a walk along the seafront promenade or the seashore?
No more excuse now to enjoy a nice stroll on the new coastal path, a natural seafront promenade that runs from La Cala de Mijas to Calahonda.
The path has a distance of approximately 5 km along the coast - starts in the little village of La Cla de Mijas, crosses the urbanisations of La Butiplaya, El Bombo, Torrenueva and ends up in Riviera del Sol - where you can walk (with your animals on leash too!), run or bike and is made of natural materials that integrate in the nature.
This is part of the project “Pathway along the Coastline” that is planned to be continued to Marbella and Estepona.
Enjoy the lovely autumn weather with a walk along the beach.
