During our holiday in Scotland we had some showery weather as you can see from this video.
The worst thing was the cold and winds,we have had warmer weather in March than what we had during our holiday,but we made the most of it.

Caledonian Reunion: Caledonian Railway No 828 at Birkhill Station on The Bo’ness & Kinneil Railway.
The Caledonian Reunion was an event held on The Bo’ness and Kinneil Railway in November 2018. The event featured two Caledonian Railway locomotives together for the first time since steam ended in the 1960s. The locos featured were 0-6-0 No. 828 and 0-4-4 No.419. Both engines were designed by J.F. Mcintosh and built in the St Rollox Works, Glasgow. No. 828 in 1899 and No 419 in 1907.
In this clip, No. 828 is pulling a Caledonian third class corridor compartment and a brake corridor composite coach as the train approaches and stops at Birkhill Station the midway point on the Bo’ness and Kinneil Railway in central Scotland.

Thomas the Tank was feeling a bit poorly, so D5370 stepped up to the plate to run in his place at Caledonian Railway Thomas weekend. Filmed on Sunday 26/7/2015, D5314 is the other loco.
The Bridge Of Dun, and the Caledonian Railway (Brechin)
The Bridge of Dun spans the South Esk at the west end of the Montrose Basin and was erected from June 1785 to January 1787. It was designed and built by Stevens whose use of classical ornamentation transformed the bridge from being a purely utilitarian structure. The contract price was £3128.
The bridge is symmetrical with three segmental arches, the centre span being 68 ft and the side spans 50 ft. At both ends of the bridge the roadway rises steeply from lowlying ground on embankments enclosed between masonry walls that are pierced by 20 ft span flood relief arches. The piers are carried on piled foundations, and the masonry above the bases of the abutments and piers was built solid across the structure to a height of 4 ft, above which the road, 18 ft wide, is carried on pends (arched or slabbed longitudinal cavities) along the length of the bridge. Theexternal masonry, the refuges above the piers and the approaches are constructed in dressed ashlar with decorative features.
The Bridge Of Dun, Caledonian Railway (Brechin) Ltd is a private limited company formed by a group of steam railway enthusiasts, the Brechin Railway Preservation Society, with the object of operating a railway service on the former Caledonian Railway line between Brechin and Montrose, Angus, Scotland. This line was built by the Aberdeen Railway in the 1840s. It closed for passenger traffic during the early 1950s with final closure undertaken by British Rail in 1981.
Brechin to Bridge of Dun:
The line has now been re-instated and preserved for around 4 miles (6.4 km) between Brechin railway station and Bridge of Dun railway station and since 1993 trains have run at weekends during the summer as well as on special occasions at other times of the year. The two railway stations have also been refurbished.
Although the line originally went all the way to Montrose, which is still a station on the main rail network, there are currently no immediate plans to link the Brechin line back into the main rail network, as the section at Dubton through and onto Kinnaber Junction close to Montrose itself has now been redeveloped, making it difficult for the preserved railway to be reconnected to the national network at all.
