Can't Go Wrong Here ' Images from Phnom Penh-Cambodia by Michael Klinkhamer.
Dutch photographer Michael Klinkhamer is exhibiting for the second time his new photo series “Can’t Go Wrong Here” at the famous Cambodian FCC-restaurant in Phnom Penh. From 01-February until 29 February 2016. The photo show feature a series of newly printed photographs he made between 2014-2015 during the Cambodia Photo Tours and workshops, Michael is currently conducting daily throughout Phnom Penh. The 20 photographs shown here, each tell an individual story and are not mend to be interrelated or have an other theme than -stand alone- and tell their own story and are open to your own personal interpretation.
To be able present actual photo prints is ultimately the goal for every photographer. As we live in the digital age and mostly see pictures on laptops or handheld devices a true beautiful print and a full rendering of what is presented in the image is important to get it out there for real and share with an audience. That way pictures become truly alive and can take on a different meaning and give us a full on experience. A big thank you (Okun) to the kind and hospitable people of Cambodia. In this day and age of media overkill and suspicion towards photographers it's rare to find true joy and curiosity in the local people's attitude towards 'street' photographers. Cambodians are easy going, well mannered and truly friendly and open towards having their picture taken and it shows! Can't Go Wrong Here' is also a homage to legendary war photographer Tim Page who used to speak these words many times when we worked together in 2013 for some time in Phnom Penh. Phnom Penh Railway Station with Filipino Street Photographer
On the 3rd of September 2017 I went to the old railway tracks in Phnom Penh with my former Filipino lecturer, Mr. Arvin and my senior Mr. Physens. Phnom Penh Royal Railway Station, is a railway station in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. It is located next University of Health Science and the National University of Management and the Canadian embassy. As of February 2014, the station is only used for sporadic goods transport, chiefly oil-tank trains. This station was renovated and formally reopened October 22, 2010. However, the station buildings and platforms are no longer accessible to the public, given that there are currently no passenger services.

My home is my Castle in Cambodia.
After my morning coffee I went along with one of the people to see his family home on the mekong river.
I was surprised how clean and neat it all was. Super organized and cool. The pounding sound in the background is from workers building a boat...
Enjoyed my short visit with these friendly people who live on the Mekong river in Cambodia, but are from Vietnamese origin.

Gilbert Ng :: Cambodia Photo Tour 06/2017
In 2016, Leo worked with a travel agency and organized photo tours. His philosophy in leading photo tours is simple. The photos are paramount. The people who travel with him know they will take best pictures of their lives. But he does not suggest taking “Stock photos”. His trips are not relaxing, however, they usually get up early and often stay out late, depending on the light. They deal with heat, cold and sometimes long drives on the roads, but it’s all to take great photographs. It would be a pleasure to have you on one of the photo tours or workshops
