Cambodian military puts guns on the streets of Phnom Penh
Military police armed with AK-47 assault rifles stood guard around the Ekareach health clinic in the Pur Senchey district of Phnom Penh on Saturday, a day after protesters looted and burned the clinic due to doctors' refusal to treat injured demonstrators.
As well as riot police and gendarmerie, military units have been put on alert throughout the capital. Troops participated in a sweep through Freedom Park on Saturday morning, driving activists away from the area and smashing the protest camp.
At least three people were killed on Friday when security forces opened fire on a crowd of striking garment workers demanding an increase in the minimum wage. The protest came amidst weeks of rallies against the government of Prime Minister Hun Sen, who opposition politicians from the Cambodian National Rescue Party have called on to step down.

I will try a weapon at the practice range, a Kalashnikov, maybe a machine gun or a bazooka, I'm not sure. In France it is not possible to try these kinds of weapons so I'll enjoy trying it here.

It was great, it made a surprisingly big impression on me. The weapons are a lot more powerful than in the movies. It's a strange feeling. I've known about this weapon in the movies since I was young but it's the first time I've handled one. Everyone should come and try it - it's a stress reliever. It's an experience.

LEAD IN :
Cambodia's bloody civil war claimed the lives of an estimated 1.7 million people, and forcibly relocated millions of people from the cities to the countryside.
The legacy of the civil war lives on in the country's weaponry.
Tourists can fire a wide variety of vintage weapons at Phnom Penh's army shooting range - at a price.
STORYLINE:
Civil and strife has blighted Cambodia since the 1970's.
In 1975 the Communist Khmer Rouge took power, and carried out a Socialist purge of Cambodian society that led to the deaths of an estimated 1.7 million people.
The bloody period in history claimed the lives of people through political executions, starvation and forced labour.
Millions of people were displaced, and many intellectuals were punished and killed for their crimes.
Now the country is still grappling with its grim legacy.
Some of those guns from its bloody past are now a tourist attraction.
Tourists can pay money to fire vintage weapons, and bang of the AK-47 is a draw for some.
About 15 kilometres (9 miles) outside the capital, tourists can take a tuk-tuk to fire some fully automatic weaponry.
Just outside Phnom Penh, the shooting range is located on the operations base of the Airborne Brigade 911.
For Marot, the weapon of choice was the iconic Russian AK-47 assault rifle.

After a day of exploring popular attractions like Angkor Wat and the city of Phnom Penh, our taxi driver asked us if we wanted to shoot guns. We said yes :) At the Happy Club, you can try any weapon you can think of including rocket launchers and hand grenades. This little video shows my wife trying an M-16 for the first time. In fact, it was the first time she's ever used a firearm.

CAMBODIA: POLICE OPEN FIRE ON STONE THROWING PROTESTERS
Natural Sound
Police fired gunshots at point-blank into a crowd of protesters in Cambodia who were demanding the ouster of the country's leader Hun Sen, critically wounding a
student in the fourth day of violent clashes.
The protestors had been throwing stones and were using catapaults to attack police on the streets of Phnom Penh.
They along with opposition leaders are calling for Hun Sun to step down saying he won the country's July election by fraud.
But Hun Sen denies this.
The shooting occurred after several hundred people gathered outside the U-S Embassy and the residence of opposition leader Prince Norodom Ranariddh, a focal point
of unrest since a protest camp was destroyed Tuesday.
Club-wielding riot police smashed a makeshift shrine erected where monks were attacked by police on Wednesday.
But protesters rebuilt the shrine it as soon as the police left.
The police returned to destroy it again.
This is when protestors starting throwing rocks.
Then 5 police officers opened fire with Kalashnikov rifles, two of them firing straight into the crowd.
A student, Tour Khunnaruth aged 18, was struck in the neck and rushed in an embassy car to a hospital, where his mother said later that his condition was critical.
After initially dispersing, the protesters regrouped and regained momentum, dashing on motorcycles and on foot to different parts of the capital, including the Angkor-style Independence Monument.

SHOOTING ROCKET LAUNCHER - SHOOTING BAZOOKA | CAMBODIA MILITARY
VLOG #088 | Before I arrived in Cambodia, the only thing I knew you could do was to shoot a cow with an RPG rocket launcher! Thats crazy and fucked up. But is it true though?
Well, on site I could choose whatever weapon I wanted to shoot with. My first pick was a bazooka followed with an AK47/M16 and ended all of it with a 50 caliber machine gun.
The whole experience is something I will never forget. My heart was pumped with adrenaline like never before. It was so much fun and soooo expensive, but totally worth it. When do you ever get to shoot a BAZOOKA?
And no. You cannot shoot a cow anymore ♥️
