Cycle Highlands - Cambus Trails, Ballater
This video is a little taster of some of the fast swoopy tracks available for riding in the Cambus o' May forest. A perfect warm up/start point for a longer ride or ideal for honing your skills at speed.
The forest network of paths is also ideal for family groups looking for slightly more adventure whilst riding down the old railway line on the Deeside Way.
There are ven picnic benches with stunning views back up the valley towards Ballater to be enjoyed.
Ballater MTB | Mastermind
This is a full run video of Mastermind in Ballater. This video is partly featured on a full vlog on my channel and was filmed in August 2019.
This was the first time I had ridden the trail so speeds weren't so fast. It was however a deceptive trail. Pretty rocky, fast in places, with lots to catch you out. Definitely worth a ride if you are in the area.
Enjoy!

St Mary's Bell
This slow air was written by Lewis M Beddie
The bell was made for the Kirk Belfry of St Mary's Church, the Auld Kirk in Kincardine O'Neil in 1744.
It carries the inscription:
John Mowat me fecit Vet. Abd. 1744 in usum ecclesiae de Kincarden. Sabbata pango funera plango
When St Mary' became ruinous and a new Parish church was built across the road in 1862, the bell was moved to the new church where it remains.
This piece, played by the Lodgers, was recorded live at the closing service of Kincardine O'Neil Parish Church building in September 2012.

Pitlochry 10K Road Race 2012
A 10K road race, starting in Atholl Road, Pitlochry. From the start line, outside Fishers Hotel on Atholl Road, runners will head north towards Killiecrankie on the pavement running parallel to the B8019. Upon reaching the Faskally Caravan Park, it is a left hand turn then follow a silky smooth drive to bring you to the beautiful 17th century Faskally House mansion, and on towards the Scottish Marine Biology Laboratory. It is here that the picturesque Loch Faskally opens up on your right hand side, and runners will be alongside this for the next 1km.
It is a gradual climb from there to complete a quick skirt of another smaller, lily-filled Loch, Dunmore, where the water station is positioned in the shade of some trees. Leaving the Faskally Wood, it is back alongside the B8019 towards Pitlochry again, before a sharp right turn on to Clunie Bridge Road takes you past the Green Park Hotel, towards the Pitlochry Boating Station. A short woodland path leads to the pedestrian footbridge which crosses Loch Faskally, on to the Clunie side of the water. From there a flat piece of pavement leads you to a cycle/walking path, through a wooded area and out to run alongside the A9 trunk road (staying on the dedicated tarmac path), to the entrance of Fonab Castle (which is undergoing a transformation to become an exclusive 5-star Hotel and Lodge complex).
The last kilometre is an easy downhill decent to a left turn which takes you into the finish area at the world famous Pitlochry Festival Theatre, where finishers are rewarded with amazing views of the Victorian town, and beyond to Ben-y-Vrackie.
