Camelot3406 Pt09of10 - Duncan OFinioan Project Talent The Ultimate Warrior
PROJECT TALENT THE ULTIMATE WARRIOR, with Duncan OFinioan. Duncan O'Finioan was the Ultimate Warrior... brainwashed, conditioned and controlled as part of a highly classified MK-ULTRA program called PROJECT TALENT. From a thousand others trained as child warriors in 1966, he is now, he believes, only one of 20 left alive to tell the story. In his powerful and compelling testimony for the camera one of the most extraordinary we have ever heard Duncan describes: His mission to terminate the very drunk, future President of the United States...
George W. Bush; His dizzying enhanced physical and psychic abilities... including the abilities to hurl
someone across the room with his mind, and walk through a solid wall; How he and 11 other children were flown to Cambodia to deliver a targeted death blow
to all the surrounding Khmer Rouge troops... using only the combined power of their
minds; How his right arm is hardwired and is capable of astonishing speed and strength;
His struggle to regain his memory, aided by a car accident which led to the discovery
of a cranial implant uncovered by an MRI machine... deactivating the implant and
causing the MRI machine to catch fire; His role as a programmed assassin, targeting Americans under the command of an
undisclosed agency; The selection, torture, and brutal training process that he endured... and which children
are undergoing to this day And more. Twenty years later, Duncan (who is of mixed Cherokee and Irish blood) comes forward to tell the truth about the Ultimate Warrior project: how he was chosen, groomed and tortured into becoming the perfect fighting machine, combining physical superiority with the extraordinary mental abilities of a psychic spy. Fearless, principled, and determined to regain control over his life, Duncan OFinioan told his story in detail. The panel of theatre critics -- New York Post's Clive Barnes, Variety's Charles Isherwood, New York Times' Peter Marks, NY1's Roma Torre, and Newsday's Linda Winer -- discuss the difference between television and print media, writing styles, the change in opening night review deadlines, audience reactions, unbiased reviews, reading plays prior to attending plays, how the quality of a show influences the quality of a review, returning to a show for a subsequent viewing, and the job market for critics.

Julie Andrews & Emma Walton Hamilton: Home Work | Talks at Google
In this follow-up to her critically acclaimed memoir, Home, Julie Andrews shares reflections on her astonishing career, including such classics as Mary Poppins, The Sound of Music, and Victor/Victoria.
This event is moderated by Eric Schmidt.
Get the book here:
In Home, the number one New York Times international bestseller, Julie Andrews recounted her difficult childhood and her emergence as an acclaimed singer and performer on the stage.
With this second memoir, Home Work: A Memoir of My Hollywood Years, Andrews picks up the story with her arrival in Hollywood and her phenomenal rise to fame in her earliest films--Mary Poppins and The Sound of Music. Andrews describes her years in the film industry -- from the incredible highs to the challenging lows. Not only does she discuss her work in now-classic films and her collaborations with giants of cinema and television, she also unveils her personal story of adjusting to a new and often daunting world, dealing with the demands of unimaginable success, being a new mother, the end of her first marriage, embracing two stepchildren, adopting two more children, and falling in love with the brilliant and mercurial Blake Edwards. The pair worked together in numerous films, including Victor/Victoria, the gender-bending comedy that garnered multiple Oscar nominations.
Cowritten with her daughter, Emma Walton Hamilton, and told with Andrews's trademark charm and candor, Home Work takes us on a rare and intimate journey into an extraordinary life that is funny, heartrending, and inspiring.

Composers: Mychael Danna & Jeff Danna
Title: We Are The Children Of The World
The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus is a 2009 fantasy film directed by Terry Gilliam and written by Gilliam and Charles McKeown. The film follows a travelling theatre troupe whose leader, having made a bet with the Devil, takes audience members through a magical mirror to explore their imaginations and present them with a choice between self-fulfilling enlightenment or gratifying ignorance.
About Jeff Danna:
JEFF DANNA was born in Burlington, Ontario. A reluctant piano student at age eight, he found solace in the guitar at age eleven and began playing professionally at fifteen until a hand injury at age 21 curtailed his performance career. He subsequently began composing for films and moved to Los Angeles to continue working. Danna has created scores for a long and varied list of films. His credits include such diverse projects as the hit film adaptations of the video game/action franchises Resident Evil: Apocalypse, Silent Hill and Silent Hill 2; the Ryan Gosling-Anthony Hopkins legal drama Fracture; The Imaginarium of Dr. Parnassus and Tideland, both directed by Terry Gilliam; Lakeview Terrace, directed by Neil LaBute; a series of films for director Brett Morgen, including The Kid Stays in The Picture, Chicago 10, and, most recently, the Kurt Cobain biopic Montage of Heck; Closing the Ring for director Richard Attenborough; and the cult classic The Boondock Saints, among others.
Additionally, his collaborative Orchestral Celtic albums with his brother, composer Mychael Danna, have enjoyed worldwide success and placed in the Top Ten on the Billboard chart in the United States.
In 2015, Jeff and Mychael worked on the score for The Good Dinosaur and received an Annie® nomination for Outstanding Achievement, Music in an Animated Feature Production. Jeff and Mychael also wrote the original score for the animated film Storks and for Billy Lynn’s Long Halftime Walk directed by Ang Lee which were both released in 2016.
For television, Jeff and Mychael wrote the original music for the FX series Tyrant, which earned them both Emmy® nominations in the categories of Outstanding Music Composition for a Series (Original Dramatic Score) and Outstanding Original Main Title Theme Music in 2015. They were previously Emmy®-nominated for Camelot in 2011.
This year Jeff’s work can be heard on the Netflix series Alias Grace, and the animated feature The Breadwinner, for the celebrated Cartoon Saloon studio in Ireland.

Tara Khaler on going from cruise ship production singer to headline act.
I've known Tara Khaler and he partner Joel Pierson, for many years and finally had the chance to interview them at their home in New York. The interview is split in two parts.
Tara has sung around the world and throughout the United States including performances at Madison Square Garden and Carnegie Hall. Her theatre credits include Camelot, Phantom of the Opera, Man of La Mancha, Jekyll & Hyde, Aida, The Student Prince, Smokey Joe’s Cafe, Grease, Singin' In The Rain, Will Roger's Follies, How to Succeed In Business Without Really Trying, Sweet Charity, and 42nd Street.
Having spent years as a production singer on cruise ships, Tara finally decided to go it alone with her own show.
She talks about the challenges of making the transition and how she took over a year to create her own show. Since she was already working on a ship, she was fortunate to have a lot of support from Cruise Directors and musicians to work on new material and slowly get her act together. Chat, or patter, was a challenge. Tara calls it, “the glue for the show,” and she shares advice on coming up with chat that is genuine in worth saying. Her best piece of advice, “Be prepared.”
Tara is one of the few Production Singers to go solo with her own act. For anyone thinking of doing the same thing, this is interview is packed with great information.
