VLOG_025 is about shopping for another camera in Taipei. I went to an area called Camera Street (Hankou Street) and visited both the official camera stores as well as the gray market shops. I purchased a Sony a6000 with a lens for $500 -- an incredibly cheap price.

Shopping for a bargain Sony A7Rii in Camera street Taipei
Exploring the famous Camera Street in Taiwan. So many camera shops and stuff to geek out on. Decided to buy a Sony A7Rii while I was there as they were cheap. Buy the Sony A7Rii on Amazon here Also picked up a Metabones adapter so I can use my Canon lenses with it while traveling. For those that are wondering about my vest, thats a custom photo vest made by the awesome folks at thevestguy.com A life saver when traveling and no.. no one thinks Im a terrorist lol. I like travel to Taiwan. When I visit Taipei, Ximending 西門町 is a must visit place for me.
As a prosperous shopping district of Taipei, Ximending is the source of Taiwan's fashion, subculture and Japanese culture. There are many shops : clothing, souvenir boutique, Taiwan specialty shops, recreations, restaurants, snacks and food stall...both small local business and world famous brands can be found. Busking and street food distributed over the streets and lanes. I can spent a whole day there.
For this trip to Taipei, I spent some time to study the hotels around Ximending, after a price and location comparison, I choose Taisugar Hotel Taipei.
The hotel is located at the neighborhood of Ximending, a 3 minutes walk can reach the entrance of the area. A 5 minutes walk can reach the exit of the MRT Ximen Station 西門捷運站. The distance is reasonable, but, when comparing with the price, it is over 30% cheaper than the hotels located at Ximending in general, Taisugar Hotel Taipei is a good choice really.

My fright to Taipei was on 17 Oct 2019 at 19:50 , departed from Hong Kong, and the original arrival time was 21:50. The fright was delayed due to the electrical problem of the plane. I arrived Taipei at 22:45 and I arrived the hotel at 00:00 finally. Luckly, my booking of a Delux Double Room was upgraded to a Business Suite and it was really great for me.
(Except the air conditioning, I couldn't adjust the temperature through the control switch inside the room, the temperature was kept around 21°C, it was too cold for me, and my only choice is turning off the air conditioner ! The sound insulation of the room also need some improvement ! )

After finishing the brreakfast, I took a walk and look arround. I found that the property was surrounded by the famous Audio & Video Street 台北影音街 (Kaifeng Street 開封街) and Camera Street 相機街 (Hankou Street 漢口街), there are many shops selling eletrical appliace, AV equipments and cameras. It was an extra bonus for me actually.
