The Camí de Cavalls is an ancient path of +185 km (+115 miles) that encircles the island of Menorca, Spain. This long-distance walking route is the GR 223 of the Senderos de Gran Recorrido network in Spain and it is also used to reach some of the most inaccessible beaches of Menorca.
On Episode 1 of the Cami de Cavalls trail covers stages 1-4, starting in Maó(Mahón) and finishing in Cala en Tirant.
Stage 1 - Maó(Mahón) to Es Grau
Stage 2 - Es Grau to Favàritx
Stage 3 - Favàritx to Arenal d'en Castell
Stage 4 - Arenal d'en Castell to Cala Tirant

S2 E10 Cami de Cavalls, Menorca, Spain November 2015
First established as an equestrian defense trail in the 1330s under the rule of King James II, this multi-segment hike on the Spanish isle of Menorca features a variety of pristine beaches and other coastline scenery. Thanks to trail restoration projects with an eye towards historical preservation, this loop was completed and made available to the public in 2010.
Tent camping is officially allowed only in select areas on the south coast. Fortunately, accommodations tend to be inexpensive and generous. A full loop hike in this fashion might be feasible in the summertime when seasonal bus service and coastal villages are in business. However, at least one long gap between lodging options exists on the north coast between Cala Trant and Cala Morell (segments 5-8). The Cami de Cavalls extends about 180 km around the Menorcan coastline; I was able to visit about half of the 20 segments described in the link below over 6 days on foot and bike. The Ciutadella area was used as a base camp for the first six nights before moving on to Mao/Mahon for the final two nights. The influence of former British possession is evident in parts such as Mahon where the airport is located. Spanish influence dominates Ciutadella where ferries to Barcelona and other destinations are available from her Marina. French influence can be seen on other parts of the coastline such as the Artrutx lighthouse.
While other long walks in Europe are likely to be too cold, dark or wet in November, the Cami de Cavalls presents a fine alternative for a late autumn long trail.

Route 03- Der Rundweg GR-223 auch Cami de Cavalls genannt, ist ein Wanderweg der eimal um die ganze Baleareninsel Menorca führt. Erst 2010 wurde er entlang der Küste wieder vollständig eröffnet und wird heute von Wanderern und Mountainbikern sehr geschätzt. Es handelt sich um einen Patrouillenweg aus dem Mittelalter auf dem man mit Pferden entlangritt, um Ausschau nach Angreifern und Piraten zu halten. Der Weg ist offiziell in zwanzig Abschnitte eingeteilt und ich habe sie für euch gefilmt. Dann viel Spaß beim anschauen und nachwandern.

Por donde empezar?
Era la primera pregunta que tenia.
Pues, he decidido empezar por el punto más cercano a Rusia y lo más este de Espana.
(Tambien una de las cosas que sonaba hacer en Espan es snorkel.
segun las cosas que me he oido sobre espana sabia que hay buenos sitios para hacerlo en Menorca. )
Además interesante que es una isla mas salvaje de las Baleares que tine muchas zonas protejidas.
Pues, me fui ahi para empezar a cumplir mi sueno de explorar Espana y realizar unos de las tareas de mi lista de objetivos.
En fin, he aterrizado en Menorca y empeze mi camino directamente desde aeropuerto.
Al final, me he llegado hasta la ciudad Mahon, que es la capital de la isla. Es un ciudad pequeno asi que no hay mucha actividad. Ademas es un prncipio de mayo y por eso tampoco hay muchos turistos....
La ciudad me gusto mucho. Es un ciudad pequenito, tranqillo, sin edificios altos y con callas estrechitos tradicionales muy bonitas. La ciudad es mu acogedor, me parecio que energia de laiudad es muy ligera. Los colores de la ciudad son pastel que me parece bonito.
Yo me despido con la ciudad y sigo mi camino por Menorca.

El estilo tipico Menorcin de arquitectura de las casas del pueblo CAP den Front me gusto mucho y me he hecho muchos vídeos de esas casa. Las formas de casas, sus jardines y El contaste de verde con blanco son increíbles
Os dejo de ver algunos imágenes que me he hecho haciendo este parte de camino.
En Menorca el invierno hay muy poca gente viviendo. Pero en verano tampoco es mucho. He visto muchos sitios, playas donde apenas hay 2 - 3 personas.
Después de es Canutells me llege a la cala Calescoves que es la cala más bonita que me vi desde Mao por el camino de sur
En cuevas de esta cala antes vivía gente pero desde hace 15 lo prohibieron

Menorca's Path Off Horses: Cami de Cavalls
Menorca's Path Off Horses: Cami de Cavalls, is the coastal path which links the beaches and the island's long and turbulent history of pirates invasions and occupations.
Spain's Balearic Islands are all so different, Majorca (Mallorca) is the largest and Ibiza the smallest holiday Island in the Balearics.
The Cami de Cavalls is 185kms (115mls) long and only meanders in land for small stretches. Most playa and cala are accessible from the path.
After a gentle start the video will take you around the Island at brake-neck speed.
La Mola is probably one of the most spectacular areas on the island. Located next to the Fornells lagoon is the settlement which gives its name to a 120 meter high cliff overlooking the sea. The cliff is home to the cave of Na Polida, one of the island's largest caves.
La Mola de Maó, on the northern shore of the harbour of Maó (Mahon). In the mouth of the harbour is the Isabel II fort. Built in the 19th century. it was infamous as a military prison
The resort of Son Bou and its famous long sandy beach are found at the foot of the La Vall and Es Bec gorges. Son Bou is home to a large marsh and dunes complex. At the eastern end of the beach are the ruins of the early Christian basilica of Son Bou which was built between the 5th and 6th centuries A.D.
As we pass through Ciutadella we arrive at some of the best known beaches of Minorca. The coves of Macarella, Macarelleta and En Turqueta are worth a visit.
