Did you know you can camp on The Great Wall of China?? Well you can with The Dragon Trip and this is exactly what we did! And not only did we camp on the great wall but we stayed on a disused part and didn’t see any other tourists!
We took a bus 2 hours from Beijing to the Great Wall of China, we had to walk nearly 1 hour up hill to the wall with our camping equipment which was hard work and it didn’t help that it was pouring with rain too!
We set up our tents next to The Great Wall of China and were then able to walk along it and watch an amazing sunset from the great wall.
Following a damp, cold and uncomfortable night we woke up to an amazing sunrise on The Great Wall of China. It was truly an amazing and huge bucket list experience.
After a 2 hour journey back to Beijing we spent the next 2 days in Beijing seeing as many of Beijing's attractions as possible including the Forbidden City, the Temple of Heaven and the Friends Cafe in Beijing!

The Great Wall of China: Hiking & Camping!
The two days we spent exploring remote portions of The Great Wall were some of the most awe-inspiring, challenging and beautiful days of our 21 days in China! We started day one on the Jiankou portion of the wall and then to the Huanghuacheng that night. We hiked in the dark and set up a tent to camp on the wall, waking up the next morning to gorgeous songs of bugs and wind passing through the mist the next morning. After packing up the camp site, we hiked the Huanghuacheng section for the rest of the day. I highly recommend visiting these gorgeous pieces of the wall and experiencing history far from tourists. It's truly unforgettable.

During the summer we had visitors to stay with us in Shanghai and we then meet up with them in Beijing too. I (James) get a big surprise.
We then explored Beijing, trying peking duck visiting the Lima Temple and our favourite thing there, camping on the Great Wall of China!

Not only do we get to see, walk on and experience unrestored parts of the Great Wall, but also camp on it! This was such an incredible opportunity from start to finish. Definitely a must for any adventurer's bucket list!

First trip to the Great Wall of China in Beijing
Hi Everyone,
Hope you enjoy this short video of our tour to the Great Wall of China. We had an awesome time. Yes, it was hot but you didn't really notice because your so busy enjoying the scenery.
As you can see the steps were very steep so unfortunately we didn't get to make it up to the top. We thought it would be too dangerous to take our girls up and down. You better believe if we didn't have the children we would have hiked all the way up to the top.
So, after hanging out on the steps we made our way down to the square and waited for our Groupon tour group to meet us. Once everyone made it down we jumped on the bus and headed out to get lunch (which was delicious).

Great Wall of China Hiking & Camping experience
Had great fun at Great Wall of China in Beijing region. We went for camping and hiking and it was 2 days tour to great wall. We went to greatwall by bus and it tool us about 3 hours from downtwon beijing to Great wall.
The best experience was to see sunset and sunrise in some chilling weather. We also had BBQ and bonfire and it was amazing party on the greatwall of China. It was not badaling side greatwall but it was nearby to that place. However, there were very few people there due to its remote area.
If you need any guide replated to great wall of china and camping you can ask me in the comments below. We had professional tour guide for this trip and you can also find many tour guides in beijing. These guide can take you to great wall tour individiually and can also take you in groups. Tour guide of China is common and tour guides can also speak English well so no need to worry about language problem.
Great wall of china tour was amazing and people say you become hero once you climb to the great wall. So if you want to become here must climb to the great wall. But if you want to be super hero climb there and stay there in the camp. this will be best hiking in the world you will ever experience.

Great Wall of China Camping Trip - Bridges to china
A regular trip we hold for participants of all our study programs, camping on the ancient Great Wall. We hike up to an abandoned part of the ancient wall, to a section that hasn't been renovated, and camp in a guard tower. Good times to be had by all.

Had the incredible and memorable opportunity to hike and camp on the peaceful and unrestored Chenjiapu section of the Great Wall of China.
Spent 2 long days of hiking almost vertical inclines up uneven steps, pushing our way through loads of overgrown plants, climbing up rubble and broken rocks, and sliding down steep mountain sides. We were also treated to a delicious Chinese barbecue dinner and slept in cute little tents right on the wall. Truly an unforgettable, unreal, and once in a lifetime experience!

Last Dec 27, my friend and I went to Beijing, China for a winter camp experience. It is some kind of cultural exchange experience. We had Chinese classes, Cultural activities, tours (Great Wall, Tianamen square, Forbidden City, Temple of Heaven, Summer Palace, etc) and made new friends. It was only my friend and I who came from the same school and the other Filipinos came from one school. We never imagined that we will have friends during that 10 days in Beijing. Who would have thought? These people in the video made our trip EXTRA FUN and EXTRA MEMORABLE . This is just the summary of our trip the longer ver. will come soon

Char 787 Presents: Adventures in the 2019 Beijing Root Seeking Camp!
This video is my experience in the 2019 Beijing Root Seeking Camp in China! During its 10 camp days in August, we flew together with my group from Toronto, Canada, to Beijing, China. We took a bus from the airport to a university, which is where we stayed for the duration of the camp. During the camp, we went to most of the great attractions in Beijing. Some of these include the Great Wall of China, Olympic Bird Nest, Museum of Urban Planning, Museum of Overseas Chinese Acrobatics Show, Tiananmen Square, Forbidden City, and more. We also did crafts like making opera masks, traditional Chinese knots, and origami.
As we were fully immersed in the Chinese culture throughout the entire camp, with the signs in Chinese, the instructions in Chinese, the food in Chinese, since we were living in a Chinese university, and since we had to speak in Mandarin, I learned quite a bit about Chinese life, as well as lots of new Mandarin words, and quickly settled into the routine. This video recaps my experiences and adventure in the 2019 Beijing Root Seeking Camp. (I spoke in English in the video though)
