Campbells Bobbie Burns Shiraz, Rutherglen, Australia
In 1860 the pioneer Scotsman John Campbell arrived in Rutherglen in search of gold and acquired land adjoining the Bobbie Burns gold lead. He established the Bobbie Burms vineyard in 1870 and in 1970 this name was given to the premium Shiraz. Since then Bobbie Burns has come to epitomise the best of Australian Shiraz - quality, vibrant fruit with subtle oak making a wine with structure, balance and beauty at all ages. For many, 'Bobbie' is a loyal friend. For others, its a new discovery that shows how great modern Australian Shiraz can be.
Bobbie Burns Shiraz is made from fully ripened fruit balanced with subtle oak maturation to provide a mouth filling wine with an abundance of rich fruit flavours and a soft, lingering finish.
FOOD MATCH: Enjoy now with a Moroccan spice rubbed fillet of beef or over time with slow braised beef or lamb.

Wine Gallery - Muscat - Campbells Rutherglen Muscat NV
Check out the Wine Gallery's chief wine officer, Banjo Harris Plane as he taste tests all our latest wine adventures.
PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT - Drink more Muscat!
This is hands-down one of Australia's greatest contributions to the world of fine wine, but sadly it is under-appreciated.
The warm climate of Rutherglen ripens luscious Muscat grapes to full maturity, and the amber nectar is then fortified before it has fully finished fermenting, leaving the wine rich and sweet.
This classic example from Campbells is loaded with hedonistic flavours like fig, treacle, raisin, dark chocolate, honeycomb and caramel. The palate is silken, sweet and gently spicy, with such a long finish.
A great wine for cheese or dessert, or simply as an after-dinner drink.
You can find food pairings, matching recipes and the winemakers story all here

James Busby Tour 2017
It was such a pleasure to host the amazing James Busby Travel tour group last night at the winery. Our own Col Campbell and All Saints Estate Wine's Nick Brown hosted the evening, which included a classification tasting of the Rutherglen, Classic, Grand and Rare Muscat and Topaque varieties. The world-famous sommeliers were blown away by the richness and depth of our wines, and were especially thrilled by our blending exercise!
Rutherglen. Important to Australian Wine
Wine Week 192: Around Rutherglen (and beyond).
Last week Danny was up around Rutherglen. While the region is definitely best known for its stunning fortifieds and bold durifs, Danny brought back a couple of wines that break the mould. The first is a rosé from Scion that's bone dry despite being made from a grape more normally associated with sweet whites. Then there is the Stanton & Killeen Prince Reserva, a wine made for the table with grapes normally associated with Portuguese fortified wines. In between Brad takes us over to the over side of Australia with a great value Shiraz from Xabregas in the Great Southern region of WA.

James Halliday on Campbells Wines
Industry great, James Halliday, takes you through the meaning of Australia's First Families of Wine and the influence that Campbells Wines has had on the industry since 1870.
Introducing Australia's First Families of Wine
Australia's First Families of Wine is an exciting Australian wine initiative to raise the profile of Australian wine to the world, showcasing a representative of our landmark wines and to highlight the quality and diversity of Australian wine. Established by a collective of twelve multi-generational family-owned wine producers. Together we represent seventeen wine-growing regions across Australia and forty-eight generations of winemakers.
(Our winery Howard Park & MadFish Wines (the Burch family) are representing Western Australia with wines from Margaret River & The Great Southern) - We would be so grateful for you to even consider this Australia day trying a bottle (or more) of one of our wines to help highlight the quality and diversity of Australian wine. Thank you and remember life is a gift -- celebrate it! and have a Great Australia Day wherever you may be in this beautiful little world of ours.
Nowhere else in the world could such a group be assembled, their history told both throuth the mouths of the family members and the wines they present. The underlying rationale for the formation of Australia's First Families of Wine was the realization that export markets had either lost sight of or had no way of knowing about Australia's rich history, it's diverse regions and wine styles, and the fierce personal commitment of the best winemakers to the production of high-quality wines true to their variety and geographical origin...The challenges for Australia are clear enough. What Australia's First Families of Wine can and will do is turn words into actions, ambitions into concrete results. - James Halliday, Heart & soul: Australia's First Families of Wine (2010)
