[Wikipedia] Canadian Historical Aircraft Association
The Canadian Historical Aircraft Association (also known as the CH2A) is a non-profit organization based in Windsor, Ontario which is committed to preserving aircraft which have significance to the history of Canadian aviation. They have a 1941 Boeing Stearman, a 1952 Mark IV Harvard and two de Havilland Chipmunks available for special event fly-bys and donation flights.
The Canadian Historical Aviation Association is in charge of the maintenance and restoration of a Lancaster bomber which was purchased by the City of Windsor in 1964. The Lancaster bomber was on display in Jackson Park for many years, and was transported to the CH2A's restoration facilities at the Windsor Airport in order to protect it from the elements.
A Canadair Silver Star, more commonly known as a T-33, is on static display. The CH2A is also building a de Havilland Mosquito bomber based on KB161, the first Canadian built Mosquito bomber to enter WW2. Parts were recovered from a crash site at Pele Lake and are being incorporated into the project.
The current President of the Canadian Historical Aircraft Association is John Robinson.

Since being brought to the Canadian Historical Aircraft Association, the City of Windsors Lancaster FM212 has undergone a makeover. The goal is to bring her back to her full glory - the way she looked in the 40s. About 7,377 Lancaster's were built before they were retired in 1963.

Roseland Spitfire, Windsor, ON
On Friday July 20, 2018 I went to the Canadian Historical Aircraft Association, Windsor Chapter to view the Roseland Spitfire that was on display and the only Spitfire to be rebuilt in Canada. It was there for viewing on July 20, 21 and 22nd before taking off for its next stop. Tried to get some pictures and video and did the best I could as there were a lot of people there looking over this beautifl plane from World War II. More information about this plane can be found by googling Roseland Spitfire. There were other War Planes there such as a Mosquito Bomber, Lancaster Bomber along with other planes that are being restored. It was great to see the planes up close and hope that you enjoy looking at the pictures and video's.

Discovery Flight over Windsor
My brother Bill had the opportunity to go for a discovery flight over the city and he was able to bring two people with him. He chose our sister and I. After a while, Bill was allowed to take the controls. He didn't kill us, so I would say it was a success. The flight was about half an hour and it was something I will never forget. Thanks Bill.
