Wilmore Trek
The Willmore Wilderness Park is a 4,600 square km (1840 sq. mi.) park bordering the northern edge of Jasper National Park. Along with Jasper, Banff and numerous other National and Provincial Parks the Willmore is part of one of the largest protected mountain parks systems in the world. In comparison to Jasper and Banff, the Willmore is one of the lesser known and substantially less visited areas in this system. There are no public roads, no bridges, no amenities, yet this provides for an isolation and pure wilderness experience matched by few other places in the world. It is the home of Grizzlies, Caribou, Elk, and Wolves, a place of open sub-alpine meadows, wide valleys, and snow tipped distance mountain peeks; a place that for ever touches the heart and soul of every traveler.
C W S X Expect the Incredible
As a small touring and adventure company based out of Canmore Alberta, our focus at the C.W.S.X., is on creating incredible experiences through active, small group adventures. With group sizes of 2 - 14 participants, we specialize not only in unique adventure trips, but also in outdoor educational programs and extended expeditions.
At the C.W.S.X its anything but the ordinary! Our goal is always to go off the beaten path! So come discover breathtaking landscapes, hidden gems and the thrill of adventure on our unique and one of a kind programs.
Exploring Alberta: Canadian Wilderness, Snowboarding + Epic Tubing
Canada is known for being a premier Winter Wonderland and going to the province of Alberta is a great place to start. The jaw dropping Rocky Mountains are the stars of the show rising high into the clouds and offering incredible winter sports such as skiing, snowboarding and even tubing. Me and my Mom went on a roadtrip to Mt. Nakiska, Banff and Mt. Norquay and had an amazing time. I hope you are inspired to come to this amazing place! xo

Banff National Forest and Canadian Rockies
A beautiful and tranquil creation of one of the world's most gorgeous national forest and scenic areas. Much of the footage i took was taken just outside the town of Banff and around the lake Louise areas. The Banff National forest area is certainly one of the most diverse and unique places on earth. This is one of my best video projects to date and i hope that you find it as enjoyable as i do.
Up North - Feature Length
In the summer of 2007, Drew McIntosh, Robert Lutener and Aaron Bocanegra set out on a journey across the north into the Arctic Circle,
in exploration of the impact change has on the landscape and people's lives.
Their 8500 KM (5282 mile) adventure began in Edmonton, Alberta, four hours south of the largest proposed industrial project in
history, the Athabasca Oilsands. Traveling through Alberta, British Columbia, Alaska, The Yukon, and the Northwest Territories they
arrived in Inuvik, at the end of the 750 KM (466 Mile) gravel Dempster Highway, 200 KM (124 miles) north of the Arctic Circle.
Through conversations with First Nations Chiefs, Elders, comedians, artists, dancers and mountaineers, Up North takes you on a journey
of discovery and inquiry devling into a mulitilayered look at forms of change including economic, environmental, cultural, social,
political, dromological and linguistic. Set against the stunning beauty of North America's last wilderness, it accesses an alternate
history of Canada's north, told through the wisdom of experience and the reflection of our culture in the landscape.
The project was and has continued to be entirely self-funded without any grant support or government support. We are not affiliated
with any outside interest. The goal was to allow the landscape and the people to been seen and heard in their own voices. In addition
to putting our money and time into the project we were helped a great deal by the donation of both the van and the trailer as well as
camping supplies by friends and family. Without the support of those who believed in the project we would not have been able to
accomplish as much as we did.
A journey of this magnitude tends to change a person, and we all felt different and better for it.

On The Move - Prince Albert
On May 7, 2014, the Canadian Boreal Forest Agreement and the Royal Canadian Geographical Society's On The Move campaign brought its giant floor map of the Canadian boreal forest to The Forest Centre at Prince Albert's Innovation Place. Forestry experts were on hand throughout the day to talk about the importance of Canada's boreal forest.
ABOUT THE CBFA
Canada's boreal forest is one of the largest and most ecologically significant ecosystems on the planet and the source of supply for one of Canada's most significant natural resource sectors.
Recognizing this, forest companies and environmental organizations in Canada came together to create the Canadian Boreal Forest Agreement.
This global precedent integrates economic and environmental values to ensure a sustainable future for our boreal forest, our natural habitat, our forestry industry and all those whose livelihoods rely upon it.
The following are signatories to the Canadian Boreal Forest Agreement:
Environmental Organizations (ENGOs):
Canadian Boreal Initiative, Canadian Parks and Wilderness Society (CPAWS), David Suzuki Foundation, ForestEthics, The Nature Conservancy, The Pew Charitable Trusts and Ivey Foundation.
Forestry Companies:
Alberta-Pacific Forest Industries Inc., AV Group, Canfor Corporation, Canfor Pulp Limited Partnership, Cariboo Pulp & Paper Company, Conifex Timber Inc., Daishowa-Marubeni International Ltd., Fortress Paper Ltd., Howe Sound Pulp and Paper Ltd., LP Canada Ltd., Mercer International, Millar Western Forest Products Ltd., Resolute Forest Products, Tembec Inc., Tolko Industries Ltd., West Fraser Timber Co. Ltd., and Weyerhaeuser Company Limited — all represented by the Forest Products Association of Canada, which is also a signatory. Kruger Inc. is also a signatory.
