Buffalo city hall observation deck Family fun!
Buffalo City Hall is the seat for municipal government in the City of Buffalo, New York. Located at 65 Niagara Square, the 32-story Art Deco building was completed in 1931 by Dietel, Wade & Jones.
The 378-foot-tall (115.2 m) building[2] (398 feet [121.3 m] when measured from street level to the tip of the tower[3]) is one of the largest and tallest municipal buildings in the United States and is also one of the tallest buildings in Western New York. It was designed by chief architect John Wade with the assistance of George Dietel. The friezes were sculpted by Albert Stewart and the sculpture executed by Rene Paul Chambellan.[4]
Buffalo City Hall was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1999.[1]

Architectural History of Buffalo, New York
Winter drive in Buffalo, NY ❤️ Autofahrt durch Buffalo, NY
Buffalo is the second largest city in the U.S. state of New York and the largest city in Western New York. As of July 2016, the population was 256,902. The city is the county seat of Erie County, and a major gateway for commerce and travel across the Canada–United States border, forming part of the bi-national Buffalo Niagara Region.
Buffalo is on the eastern shore of Lake Erie, at the head of the Niagara River, 16 miles south of Niagara Falls. Its early embrace of electric power led to the nickname The City of Light.

Driving around Downtown Buffalo, New York
The 20th century saw works such as the Art Deco-style Buffalo City Hall and Buffalo Central Terminal, Electric Tower, the Richardson Olmsted Complex, and the Rand Building. Urban renewal from the 1950s–1970s gave way to the construction of the Brutalist-style Buffalo City Court Building and One Seneca Tower—formerly the HSBC Center, the city's tallest building.
Erie Canal - Live in Buffalo (NY, USA)
14th video in my new series, showing some live music performances recorded during my trip to Eastern Canada (Québec and Ontario) and New York state (USA) in September of 2016...
Live cover of Erie Canal, an old traditional song (also known as Low Bridge, Everybody Down, Fifteen Years on the Erie Canal, Fifteen Miles on the Erie Canal, Erie Canal Song, and Mule Named Sal) written in 1905 by Thomas S. Allen.
The song has been recorded and performed by many artists over the years. My cover was inspired by Bruce Springsteen's version, included in his 2006 album We Shall Overcome: The Seeger Sessions.
Cover performed with Yamaha GL1 guitalele, harmonica and vocals.
I recorded this video in the evening of September 19, 2016, next to a low bridge on a water channel, which is the kind of location that this nostalgic song is about.
The Erie canal ran from Albany to Buffalo, in the state of New york.
