Canyon Creek trail is a blue trail located in the Moonraker riding area in Golden, BC. It begins as a singletrack through thick cedar forest only to suddenly emerge on the edge the canyon with the creek 200 m below. It has some fun little side hits and berms along the edge of the canyon. The trail is shared with hikers so be aware of other users

This is a snip of Canyon Creek trail. We rode up for 90 mins to do a trail called LSD but abandoned it, and started it at the mid entrance. The steepest stuff I have aver ridden. Glad I didn't start at the top.

An amazing set of trails off the gondola at Kicking Horse Bike Park in Golden. T4 involves a lot of hike-a-bike and technical chunk. Eventually it begins to flow before ending up at LSD - a fantastic trail, full of fun drops and woodwork. Up next is Canyon Creek - an extremely fast and scenic trail. Be sure to take in the views while trying to hit all of the jumps on the side!

My friends and I continue our Golden, B.C. adventure hitting the trails LSD and Canyon Creek. Jon Baptiste Multimedia took the footage, randomly cut and pasted and created this compilation.
Ski Golden BC - Kicking Horse - Canyon Creek
To ride Canyon take the stairway to heaven chairlift then you can climb the stairs of stairway to heaven and drop on your left or when you get off the chair go right to the big red and yellow sign (backcountry sign).
To go there you will need all your backcountry gear and know how to use it ! (shovel, probe and transceiver). Don't forget to bring your skins or snowshoes because there's no chairlift Einstein !

The Canyon Creek MTB trail in Golden, BC. Part of the Moonraker trail system. Starts innocently enough and then suddenly you're plunging towards a 200m cliff... then a 4km rollercoaster descent along an old wagon road... lovely.

The highest point on the Trans Canada Highway is in the Kicking Horse Pass near the Alberta/BC Border, with an elevation of 1643 meters (5390 feet), just a few kilometers east of the Parks Bridge.
The bridge is 13 kilometers east of Golden, BC, and was opened in 2007, making the slow and curvy section of the lower highway obsolete. The height of the bridge is 90 meters above the Kicking Horse River.
The engineering and construction challenge of the Kicking Horse Canyon Project is enormous. A span of less than 35 kilometers of asphalt and bridges is estimated to cost just under $1 billion.
There's a rest area just to the west where people ride along the old highway for a few kilometers. There's also a kayak launch site. The Kicking Horse River is swift moving in this steep canyon and only expert kayakers should attempt the waters. Dry-suits are highly recommended since the water is cold year-round!

Driving Highway 1 through the Kicking Horse Canyon - British Columbia - Canada
En route - Canyon Kicking Horse - Colombie-Britannique - Canada
Ce secteur était jadis l'un des tronçons les plus dangereux de l'autoroute 1, l'autoroute transcanadienne. Il était entouré d'énormes falaises d'où tombaient fréquemment d'énormes rochers.
Les travaux ont débuté en 2007 et consistent à refaire un nouveau tracé afin de rendre le secteur plus sécuritaire. La phase 4, la dernière phase du projet, devrait être complétée en 2024.
Même aujourd'hui, la route est vertigineuse et la pente est vraiment prononcée. Les camionneurs ont intérêt à vérifier leurs freins avant d'entreprendre ce tronçon de route.
