Today we are doing a half day adventure with Canyoning New Zealand canyoning the Kawarau Creek. We are picked up in Queenstown by Canyoning New Zealand and are driven to our canyoning location in the Gibbston Valley alongside the Kawarau River.
Canyoning New Zealand has all the gear prepared in a trailed so we suit up then start walking toward the creek. We do a practice abseil, as abseiling is major activity in any canyoning in New Zealand. Then we are ready to go.
The Kawarau Creek quickly becomes a small canyon with waterfalls to get down, either by natural water slide or abseil down. There are a lot of narrow climbing sections too, as well as wading through water. This canyoning tour in Queenstown is a great introduction to New Zealand canyoning.

The most epic afternoon with Canyoning Queenstown! One of the most fun activities we’ve done (that's not on a snowboard) - we ziplined, abseiled, jumped into rock pools and through a waterfall. Canyoning Queenstown are amazing! This is definitely a NZ must do.

In 2012 for Easter Break from Uni at Griffith University some friends and I ventured to Queenstown, New Zealand to have the best few days of our lives. Queenstown is known as an adventurous town with bungee jumping and skydiving but couldn't have made a better choice by Canyoning. I encourage any of you to do the same if you have the chance!

This afternoon we decided to continue our trend of partaking in adventure sports by going Canyoning. Basically, canyoning involves walking through water, climbing, abseiling, jumping, swimming and jumping! We also got to do some zip lining! It was a fab afternoon and I got to fulfil my childhood dream of being Bear Grylls - although I wasn't half as elegant!

This week has been a bit different as we are one man down!
Craig is still poorly with his concussion so I had to take things into my own hands.
Me and my friend Kerry went Canyoning!! It was insane!! Really friggin scary! jumping off waterfalls and sliding down nature made slides into big pools, zip lining and abseiling.. it was a fantastic day!
Craig's CT scan came back ok - no contusions, no bleeding. Just a bit swollen!!
