HMAS Swan Dive Site - Dunsborough Western Australia
Cape Dive has been the longest established dive store in Dunsborough, for over 25 yrs we have been diving the the south west. We are just 250km south of Perth were you will find us to be your gateway to diving the HMAS Swan.
The former HMAS Swan is the first purposely prepared dive wreck of its kind in the Southern Hemisphere. After 19 years the Swan Wreck is now home to a large range of marine life from Wobbegongs to False Tasmanian Blennies. The former HMAS Swan was purposely scuttled for all levels of divers, you don’t need to be an advanced diver or have a wreck diver certification. The majority of our customers have an Open Level certification.

Great day on the Swan Wreck 9/3/13 - Wanda was even happy to see us...Well the sixpack helped! Long drive for 2 dives and back to Perth but so worth it - Even managed a 13 minute Deco stop! Guess that's what you get when you do 2 x 30+ metre dives in an afternoon!

Wreck Diving the Destroyer HMAS Swan off Dunsborough, Western Australia
Kate and I on the sunken Australian Destroyer HMAS Swan off Dunsborough, Western Australia. Jan 2012. The ships mast sits at 35 feet while the bottom is at 100 feet. Great Dive! Total of about 15 divers on the ship with us. We would totally recommend Cape Dive Shop.

Scuba Diving - Canal Rocks and HMAS Swan - 15-16/02/14
Diving weekend down in Dunsborough, south west Western Australia, (15-16 Feb 2014). Quite long and a bit rough around the edges, but you get the idea.
Day 1: The Honeycombs at Canal Rocks. Day 2: The HMAS Swan Wreck, Eagle Bay. All credit to our accompanying dive master in training who shot all of the Swan wreck footage whilst we were learning how to dive around wrecks.
Everything was shot with a GoPro Hero3+ black edition using Backscatter Flip 3.1 filters.

HMAS Swan - Dunsborough
HMAS Swan was a River-Class Destroyer in the Royal Australian Navy. She entered service in 1965 and was decommissioned in 1996 before being turned into an iconic dive site off Dunsborough in 1997.
Thanks to Indi Dive and Cape Dive for an amazing weekend of diving on this Australian Warship.

This month we met, and got to travel with, some pretty awesome people in Elle and Larry and also Amy and Kurt). Exploring and 4wding through national parks in SA and also WA. Sand dune driving, diving for blue swimmer crabs and scollops, spearfishing, surfing and free camping made it all such a great time.
