I went to Inubozaki lighthouse 犬吠埼灯台 by bicycle with my friend. Inubozaki is the most east point of Japan. The number of steps is 99, because there is Kujukurihama beach 九十九里浜 near the lighthouse (Kujuku means 99).

Each of these 6 floors is 120 inches tall (which I measured prior to this lap), making the full stairwell an even 60 feet. So beating it only requires a rate of about 1.8 feet/second, which is fairly easy for most tower runners. I did this one after a 75-minute quarter-mile climb carrying 100 pounds of weights.
