Great Ocean Road Drive - The Most Beautiful Road Trip in Australia
When it comes to road trips in Australia, the Great Ocean Road offers one of the best experiences in the country!
This beautiful National Heritage listed 243-kilometre (151 mi) stretch of road between Torquay to Warrnambool epitomizes the phrase ‘taking the scenic route’. The Great Ocean Road drive is hugged by some of Australia’s most grandiose landscapes. You’ll weave along mountainsides, revel in striking seaside vistas and delve into Australia’s verdant green rainforest. The towns that dot the drive are laid back, surfy and sophisticated, offering everything that travelers would expect from this part of Australia. We loved exploring this part of Australia!
On September 19, 2019, the Great Ocean Road marks 100 years from the day construction commenced on the Great Ocean Road, so today, we are sharing the highlights of our time in this beautiful region!
Destinations featured in the video include Bells Beach, Aireys Inlet, Lorne, Sheoak Falls, Kennett River, Cape Patton Lookout, Apollo Bay, Castle Cove, Johanna Beach, Wattle Hill, Wreck Beach, Melba Gully, Princetown, and the Twelve Apostles!

I took a fantastic Great Ocean Road tour with Wild Wombat Escapes. It was a small group tour and we had a fantastic tour of the Great Ocean Road with minimal crowds. We saw wild kangaroos, koalas, and birds, and stopped at Bells Beach, Cape Patton Lookout, Island Archway, Kennett River, Memorial Arch, Loch Ard Gorge, The Razorback, London Bridge, Twelve Apostles, Split Point Lighthouse, and took a hike at Maits Rest (in Great Otway National Park). The tour departs from Melbourne, Australia. Shot in August 2017.
