Kaitaia is the northern most town in New Zealand and the last major stop before heading to the ‘top’ of New Zealand, a good base from which to enjoy the many activities and attractions there are on offer, from the nearby Karikari Peninsula with its white sandy beaches to the Karikari Estate Winery and the well known Carrington Golf course.

Today is our longest day tour in New Zealand so far, bussing it from Paihia to Cape Reinga! We join Fullers Great Sights for a bus tour to Ninety Mile Beach in the Far North of New Zealand. Stops along the way include the Puketi Forest, Doubtless Bay and other stops in the Northland region of New Zealand. After seeing the Cape Reinga Lighthouse, we do some sand boarding at Te Paki Stream, otherwise known as sand surfing on Ninety Mile Beach.

Cape Reinga the NORTHERNMOST point in New Zealand
I took this 5 hours drive to see CAPE REINGA and it was worth it! I wanna go back to CAPE REINGA again, it's breathtaking!
I you haven check my first day here:
I woke up around 3 am and drove 5 hours an a half to the north of Auckland in New Zealand to see Cape Reinga, the northest part of New Zealand. It is actually the northest ACCESSIBLE part of New Zealand, but if we are talking about places that are not accessible there is another place that is a tiny bit more to the north.
If I knew I beautiful this place was I would I woken up earlier as I had only 1 hour to stay in Cape Reinga. Next time that I come to Auckland I will definitely go visit Cape Reinga again and I will do many more stuff like sandboard and visit other places near Cape Reinga.
The drive to Cape Reinga here in New Zealand was easy, apart from being a very long ride from Auckland it is a easy drive because New Zealand is a beautiful country. For the 5 hors I was driving to Cape Reinga I only wanted to stop the car and take pictures because the landscape is stunning!
Until now this drive to Cape Reinga from Auckland was one of the most beautiful trip I ever did, it is beautiful! I advise you to come to New Zealand for a couple of weeks and explore the whole country.

It is one of the first lights that shipping observes when arriving from the Tasman Sea and North Pacific Ocean and is one of the Far North region’s most iconic landmarks with its serene beauty. Come along for a sightseeing journey, to Cape reinga, the Tip of the North Island, of New Zealand, Filmed in May 2014, Cape Reinga, is the meeting point of our two seas/oceans, The Emerald green Tasman Sea, and the beautiful blue Pacific Ocean. A spiritual gathering place of Maori energies and ancient spirits. We then journey to the Giant Sand Dunes, at Te Paki, then journey along the Te Paki stream for 3 kilometers, to arrive at 90 mile beach, where you can drive along the sand, on the beach front, to Kaitaia.

Today in the driving rain Rochelle and I visited the Cape Reinga Lighthouse.
Cape Reinga is located at the northern most point in New Zealand. Today it was raining and the wind was blowing but you could still see where the Tasman and the Pacific Ocean meet.
The lighthouse was fully automated in 1987 and the lighthouse keepers withdrawn. It's not monitored remotely from a tracking station in Wellington.
Ok so you have just been to Cape Reinga how does it feel?

Visitors from all around the world walk the path to the light house to experience the views that are defiantly worth the long drive.
Even know the weather didn't play its part today Rochelle and I really enjoyed the views and will defiantly return when the weather is better.

Road to Cape Reinga New Zealand | CINEMATIC TRAVEL VLOG
Cape Reinga is located at the northern most part of New Zealand. It is best known for its awesome views and its lighthouse. It is approximately 5-6hr drive from Auckland City. Along the way, we stopped at Whangarei to visit Whangarei falls and did an overnight stay at Paiha, Bay of Islands. At Bay of Islands, we visited Haruru Falls and the Bay of Island beach. There are a lot of beautiful views along the way that is worth stopping for to see the view and to rest.

The left side of Te Rerenga Wairua marks the separation of the Tasman Sea (to the west) and the Pacific Ocean. For Maori, these turbulent waters are where the male sea Te Moana Tapokopoko a Tawhaki meets the female sea Te Tai o Whitireia.
The whirlpools where the currents clash are like those that dance in the wake of a waka (canoe). They represent the coming together of male and female – and the creation of life.

Cape Reinga / Te Rerenga Wairua is the northwesternmost tip of the Aupouri Peninsula, at the northern end of the North Island of New Zealand. Had such a good time catching up with Ryan in Auckland and exploring the city, we got up to so much in the city from exploring the CBD to checking out all the sweet coffee spots and then snowboarding in the evening. I then headed off from Auckland, up north to the bay of islands and cape Reinga.There was so many little walks and things to do up here and the weather was also so nice.
