Cost is $15.00 ramp fee plus $5 per night for car without trailer plus tax.
The trip from the marina to the shoals is about 7.25 miles one-way.
The shoals are closed to the public from March until September because a protected species of bird nests there.
Leave Goodland at high tide so that you can ride the current out.
Winds over 10mph will likely cause rough conditions in Gullivan Bay, check the weather.

Aerial Video of the Abandoned Cape Romano Dome House Recorded in 4K Ultra HD
Enjoy these exclusive aerial views of the abandoned Cape Romano domes recorded on July 17, 2015 in stunning 4K Ultra HD.
The domes were built on the southern tip of Cape Romano in 1980 by retired independent oil producer, Bob Lee, as a DIY project. The dome home was ahead of its time by being self-sustaining and solar-powered. The structures were originally built on dry ground, but due to erosion they are slowly receding into the Gulf of Mexico.
Over the years, the history of this futuristic looking home has become an urban legend, and the domes have gained an almost cult-like following. Some have said the domes look like giant Scrubbing Bubbles. Rumors about the domes went as far as claiming they had been left behind by extra terrestrials.
The abandoned domes have become a popular destination for tour boats, fisherman and urban explorers.
Plans are being made now to demolish what's left of the dome house. Cape Romano is located 5 miles south of Marco Island only accessible by boat or kayak. To see the legendary domes before they're gone, contact Marco Island Water Sports at: 239.642.2359 or go to:
REMEMBER: WHEN VISITING CAPE ROMANO AND THE DOMES, PLEASE RESPECT THE ENVIRONMENT. STAY CLEAR OF TURTLE NESTS, NESTING BIRDS AND ANY OTHER WILDLIFE YOU MAY ENCOUNTER ON THE ISLAND.
