Cape York 4WD travel video guide Far North Queensland Australia
We decided to take on the ultimate Australian 4WD adventure and head up Queenslands Cape York Peninsula to Australias most northern point.
There are a number of ways you can tackle this drive experience. You can take on the OTT or OTL (Old Telegraph line track) where you will experience the great remote wilderness of Australia. This track starts at Bramwell junction and finishes at the Jardine River. There are two bypass roads that allow travellers to get from the Peninsula Development Road to The Tip without having to navigate all of the creek crossings and rough roads. They pass mainly through the highlands to the east and west of the route, and are heavily corrugated which makes for a rough drive.
If you decide to take on the challenge of the OTT there are a number of creek crossings along the way, some more challenging than others. Along the way the track reconnects with the Bypass road so you can bypass some of the more challenging crossings if need be.
Palm creek, Gunshot, cockatoo creek are some of the more challenging crossings we take on, however there is some pretty spectacular places you will come across on the track like the beautiful elliot falls, twin falls and fruit bat falls all of which provide a great place to cool of or camp for the night.

Walking Cape York Peninsula Australia
I have just edited this old footage In 1997 I Walked the Cape York peninsula in Australia
I started at the river Daintree and two months later after trekking 1000km I reached the top.
it was my first long distance walk and it turned into one of the best experiences of my life.
I have to apologise for the poor audio and picture quality as the film was shot on a secondhand hi8 video camera
hope film will be enjoyable to watch.

Cape York things to do travel video guide Queensland Australia
The Cape York Peninsula, is one of the world's last accessible wilderness areas, remains a land of few people and prolific wildlife. The fishing is amazing, the scenery magnificent and the culture a fusion of many. We head to premier sports fishing grounds or go on a 4WD adventure to the most northern tip and stop off at the famous croc tent.
We visit Roko island and experience life on a pearl farm and finally stop and relax after a massive trip for a bit of Rest & Relaxation at Punsand bay a remote camping resort at the top of Australia.

Cape York Adventure 2019 | Gunshot, Nolans, Fruitbat, THE TIP!
Tag along for the adventure of a life time, Shane, Lachy and Stewie fight the tough Cape York Peninsula Terrain. Coming across the most majestic waterfalls and water crossing known to the Far North of Australia. Lachy and i met stewie (troopy driver) way back at Musgrave Roadhouse.
we asked him where he was going then said our goodbyes, we took off from the station and began our journey to the tip. 340kms later Lachy and i reached Chili beach a turnoff from the main track, we were setting up camp cooking food when we seen a car go past our camp sight, we began to wave stewie down. it was a miracle he turned off at the same spot we did as he was far behind, long story short he was by himself, so we said if he wants he can do the telegraph track with us. He was stoked as he wasn't going to do the track at all, but we all made a decision to go to the tip all together! Awesome times, Memorys made, Friends made and a dream adventure fulfilled. Hope you enjoy! WATCH IN HD, AWESOME DRONE FOOTAGE!!

Cape York Queensland 2010
Cape York, the Nation's Great 4x4 Adventure. The Cape trip has everything; great distance, corrugated roads and tracks, dust, mud, rocks, creek crossings, sandhills, beach camping, war relics, crocodiles, snakes, fishing, flies, sandflies, stingers ... and the lure of travelling to Australia's most northern point, also known as The Tip.
Outback Travel Australia's video crew, Stan and Robyne Gruzlewski of Adventure Video Productions visited Cape York in October 2010 to check out the road conditions and plan the route for their next Cape York tag-along tour. (find links to Discover Cape York on our website)

Real Outback Truckers head up the Last Frontier to Cape York Peninsula
The Gulf Country is one of Australia's last frontiers and where the last of the real Outback Truckers run. It stretches from the western edge of the Great Dividing Range in far North Queensland across endless plains, spectacular river systems and vast saltpans into the Northern Territory. This remote region is where Australia's outback meets the ocean at the southern end of the Arafura Sea around the Gulf of Carpentaria.
Here in the Gulf, land, sea and climate combined become a relentlessly harsh taskmaster never completely conquered by either man or machine. The people who inhabit the Gulf are a tough breed; carving out a precariously balanced relationship with a landscape that still fosters the legendary pioneer spirit of the true Aussie battler...
We're heading up into the Gulf Country with Hawkin's Freight Transport's Gary Bishop and his C509.

Northern most point of Australia || Cape York || Loyalty Beach to The Tip
Hey Guys and Gals!
We traveled from the Sunshine Coast to the Northern Most Point on the Australian mainland and back between the 4th of August to the 21st .
On this trip we tackled 5 of North Queensland's most iconic 4wd tracks. The Creb, Old Coach Road, Frenchmans Track, Old Telegraph Track and the Bloomfield Rd or Track.
The Final destination was Cape York or Pajinka in the Aboriginal Language meaning The Tip. We drove from our camp at Loyalty Beach north towards The Tip of Australia. We stopped into the Croc tent to grab some souvenirs and then headed on out way. Once you reach the tip you park your cars and then take a 15 minute walk across the rocky headland. When we got over the headland the wind picked up and it was blowing a gale as why there is no sound in the videos at the tip.
We spent a bit of time walking around the headland exploring the beach and getting a photo with the iconic sign at the northern most point of the Australian Continent.
We headed back to the cars and explore Somerset and the 5 beaches which is south east of the tip.
After that we headed back to Loyalty Beach for another cracker camp and packed all our gear up the next day and began our solo journey home to the Sunshine Coast.
