Part of the Capilano River Regional Park, it is not used for generating hydroelectricity, but rather for storing a portion of the Lower Mainland's drinking water. Capilano River Regional Park Profile 2017
Lush coastal rainforest and steep canyon walls make this regional park memorable. As you walk beneath towering Douglas fir and western red cedar trees, listening to the roar of the Capilano River, it’s easy to forget that you’re in Canada’s third largest urban area.

CAPILANO RIVER REGIONAL PARK | Exploring the Cleveland Dam, Capilano Canyon, and Salmon Hatchery!
Capilano River Regional Park in North Vancouver is one of Metro Vancouver’s oldest parks. The park boasts 26 km of walking trails, the incredible Capilano Canyon, the Cleveland Dam, the Capilano River, the Grandpa Capilano tree, and a salmon hatchery, among other highlights.
Capilano River Regional Park is popular for hiking, fishing, and even kayaking. It’s hard to call Capilano Park a hidden gem since it sees many visitors every year. But due to its proximity to the Grouse Grind and the Capilano Suspension Bridge, its beautiful trails are probably not explored as often as they should be.

Capilano Suspension Bridge Park - North Vancouver, Canada
One of Vancouver's top tourist attractions, the Capilano Suspension Bridge is a world famous park in North Vancouver.
In addition to the suspension bridge that gives Capilano Suspension Bridge Park its name, the park has other fun activities to do, such as a Cliff Walk and some cool nature trails. In this short video, I share clips that I took at the park in late 2016.
This is Canada, this is North Vancouver, and this is beautiful British Columbia. I hope you enjoy watching it as much as I enjoyed shooting it.
As always, I'm Dan from The New Travel. Thanks for watching.
