Capri's fabled beauty and refined hedonism has charmed them all, from Roman rulers and Russian revolutionaries to Hollywood legends. It’s the perfect microcosm of Mediterranean appeal, a fusion of glittering grottoes and coves, Roman ruins and chichi piazzas.

Already inhabited in the Palaeolithic period, the island was briefly occupied by the Greeks before Emperor Augustus made it his private playground and Tiberius retired here in AD 27. Its modern incarnation as a tourist centre dates from the early 20th century.

It’s also a favourite day-trip destination and a summer favourite of holidaying VIPs. Inevitably, the two main centres, Capri Town and its uphill rival Anacapri, are almost entirely given over to tourism, with the high prices that follow. But explore beyond the designer boutiques and cafes and you’ll find that Capri retains an unspoilt charm, with grand villas, overgrown vegetable plots, sun-bleached, peeling stucco and banks of brilliantly coloured bougainvillea.

Остров Капри е една от най-желаните дестинации за летни ваканции не само на италианците, но и на хора от цял свят. Кристално чисти води, красива природа, лимони и много цветя.

До острова хванах ферибот от Соренто. Пътуването не е дълго. Много хора отскачат до Капри за няколко часа да го разгледат и после си заминават. Аз прекарах на това красиво място един ден и една нощ.

Една от най-големите атракции на острова е Синята пещера, която за жалост не успях да видя. Морето беше бурно и не беше безопасно за лодките в този ден.
Въпреки това видях други красиви места.
Самият остров е разделен на две части (градчета) - Капри и Анакапри. Капри е по-шумно, туристическо и посещавано място. Тук са повечето заведения и магазини на острова, а Анакапри е по-тихо и спокойно, усетих го почти като вилна зона ????. От Анакапри се хваща едноседалков лифт до най-високият връх на острова. Качих се до него. Казва се Монте Соларо - 598 м. От там има страхотна гледка, на която можеш дълго да се любуваш. Идеално място за снимки ????????????

Островът ме посрещна и изпрати с великолепно време и усмихнати хора!
Бих се върнала в Капри с удоволствие!

The island of Capri is one of the most attractive destinations for summer holidays not only for Italians but also for people from all over the world. Crystal clear waters, beautiful nature, lemons and many flowers.

I caught a ferry boat from Sorrento to the island. The journey isn’t long. Lots of people drop by for a few hours to see Capri and then go. I spent one day and one night in this beautiful place.

One of the biggest attractions on the island is the Blue cave, which I didn’t see, unfortunately. The sea was turbulent and it wasn’t safe for the boats that day. In spite of that I saw other beautiful places.

The island itself is divided into two parts (towns) – Capri and Anacapri. Capri is noisier, touristy, with lots of visitors. Most of the restaurants and shops on the island are here, while Anacapri is quieter and calm, it felt almost like a villa zone to me. From Anacapri you can get a one-seat lift to the highest point on the island. I climbed up to it. Its name is Monte Solaro - 598 m. There’s a magnificent view from there which you can admire at leisure. An ideal spot for photos.

The island greeted me and saw me off with great weather and smiley people!

This magnificent luxury villa for sale is in one of the wonderful island of Capri's most exclusive areas, surrounded by nature and overlooking one of Italy's most beautiful seas. The villa dates back to the 1940s and was commissioned by film producer Carlo Ludovico Bragaglia, who chose a paradise setting full of wonderful properties surrounded by 19th-century fairy-tale gardens. This prestigious estate is in a high and incredibly panoramic position, protected by a colourful park full of typically-Mediterranean plants.

This estate is composed of two adjoining villas that are not connected. The enchanting main villa has four floors, measures 800 m2, and features an architecture typically found in Capri, made of limestone walls of a typical bright white colour.

The interiors are a triumph of big state halls with refined marble floors, period furniture, ancient Roman artifacts, elegant bedrooms with a sitting room and private bathroom, chestnut parquet floors, wrought-iron lamps, majolica stoves, 18th-century furniture, and valuable ceramic floors that were put when this property was built and restored where necessary thanks to expert artisans that faithfully have reproduced them.

The halls have direct access on porticoes and the three patios located on the ground floor; while the sleeping area, on the upper floor, is accessible from a chestnut staircase. On the first floor there are four bedrooms for guests, with bathrooms and walk-in closets, while the second floor is home to the master apartment, composed of two bedroom, bathrooms, a big hall and breathtaking views of Naples, Ischia, the Vesuvius, and Villa Jovis.

The third floor is home to a bedroom with bathroom and walk-in closet, a loggia and a big terrace with 360-degree views.
The latest domotics and a/c systems guarantee all comforts and complete this refined villa's countless valuable features.

The second villa is smaller but has the same impact; it is for guests and built in the 1950s.

It measures approximately 400 m2 and features spacious and bright rooms with a 360-degree view. The park surrounding it is full of a well-tended botanic variety: so far, approximately 150 essences have been cataloged, from typical lemon plants and fruit trees to tropical plants. The stone paths crossing this garden run close to the fruit orchard, the lemon conservatory and relaxation areas with stone or brickwork benches and tables.

There are also many sports and leisure opportunities: the park is home to a big swimming pool made of Bisazza glass with a travertine marble perimeter and a jacuzzi, a tennis court and five-a-side football filed, and a bowles area.

This luxury villa, a true gem of Capri, has seen the likes of many famous guests, including Prince Antonio De Curtis, more famously known as Totò, who regularly stayed here and whose bedroom has been kept the same way he used.
