Mount Jefferson (NH)
A hike to the summit of Mount Jefferson. I took the Caps Ridge Trail up and down. The weather was perfect, and I could see for miles. The Mount Washington Auto Road and the cars on it, the Cog Railway, and the Lakes of the Clouds Hut were visible from the top. Ascended on 7/5/2010.
I watched the video, and realized that the subtitles aren't where they're supposed to be. Sorry about that.

A visit to the Presidential Range to climb Mount Adams and Madison via the Airline Trail. The trip also included a brief stop to Grafton Notch State Park just over the border in Maine.
Mount Jefferson July 17-19, 2015
Craig Willis invited me and Michael to climb Mount Jefferson in Oregon, the second highest volcano in that state. Conditions were drier than we expected with very little reliable water between Milk Creek and our camp at 7800'. The creeks and lakes were dry but the temperatures were thankfully pleasant. We saw a new fire spring up and protected the traverse of the icefield above Red Saddle. The summit scramble ended up being easier than reports suggest. Craig's sense of humor kept spirits high throughout the trip and overall it was a fun outing.

Mount Jefferson- 9/27/2014
Four years after I hiked my first NH 4K, I returned to the scene of my success, and I loved it a lot! Definitely one of my top favorite hikes now that I'm more fit and have more peaks under my belt.
The Ridge Hike in White Mountains, NH
We took the kids on the Ridge Hike in the White Mountains in New Hampshire. There was a sign saying it is the most dangerous hike in the White Mountains and that people fall and get seriously injured or die every year while on the hike. Don't worry, we kept an eye on the kids and only went to the first falls where the hike becomes really difficult. The kids had fun though and we thought you might want an inside look at what it takes for us to get the photos for the website at statebystate.net
Ascend to the Mt Jefferson peak
Mt Jefferson (10 203 ft / 3 110m) is a highest peak of the Centennial Mountain Range, between Montana and Idaho.

Date: 21.06.2015.

Mount Anna - Carbonneau Cave - Belknap Range, NH
_____________________________________________
Today's adventure took us to the Belknap Mountain Range in NH to hike Mt Anna. We also were able to play around in Carbonneau Cave. The cave in named after Mr Carboneau who dedicated his life to the Boy Scouts of NH. WE also found artifacts along the way. Things you find in the woods. The summit of Mount Anna is view less, but less than 0.2 miles is a view point offering good views of the surrounding area.

NEW HAMPSHIRE 52 WITH-A-VIEW | Hiking Mt. Crawford, Mt. Resolution, and Stairs Mt.
The New Hampshire 52 With-A-View list is exactly what it sounds: 52 mountains (under 4,000 ft. of elevation) that all boast incredible views. Many of the mountains on the list are easy/moderate hikes and are accessible to hikers of all fitness levels. In this episode of Getts Wild, I am joined by fellow NH residents and lifelong hikers, Eric and Jenny Ruffin. I linked up with Eric Ruffin via Instagram, and he and his wife Jenny invited Dexter and I to tag along for this epic Black Friday hike in the White Mountain National Forest.
In this video, we hike three mountains on the NH 52 With-A-View (WAV) list: Mt. Crawford (3,119 ft.), Mt. Resolution (3,415 ft.), and Stairs Mt. (3,455 ft.). The total distance of the hike was just over 9 miles. It was an out-and-back hike meaning that we retraced our steps and followed the same trail back to the parking lot. The main trail that you will spend most of your time on when you do this hike is called the Davis Path. The Davis Path totals over 14 miles in length and is one of the oldest and longest trail approaches that a hiker can take to arrive at Mt. Washington (6,288 ft.).
I had an awesome day hiking with Eric and Jenny. Please show them some love by checking our their Instagram pages!

Carter Tower - Jefferson, NH
NH Fire Tower List map…
On our continuing quest to stand on every site where a fire tower stands, once stood or was proposed brought us to Carter Tower in Jeffereson, NH. We have driven by this tower many times, it is #31 for us on the NH Fire Tower list of the 92 towers that are standing, once stood or were proposed. It is right on the side of RT 2 and made a nice rainy day tower.
This video was filmed using the Sony Handycam HDR-CX430V and edited using Adobe CS6.
