Another impromptu free session in the park. This time Lewis + Cameron (10+ 11) were the stars :D It may seem unstructured but that is how it needs to be sometimes... Let them use the equipment intuitively I say..... If I need to teach, I step in but they are perfectly capable of working it out for themselves Montessori style :D

These were used (1912-1920) to grind chalk to a slurry, which was then pumped to the British Standard cement plant at Motney Hill The washmills were abandoned when the plant was uprated after World War I, and instead raw chalk was taken by 2 ft gauge railway
