Golden Hour - Japan (Roppongi Hills Tokyo) - Panasonic GH5 Short Film
One of the most beautiful sunset I have ever experienced, usually I prefer the beach sunsets but being on top of a skyscrapper with an impressive view from the top of Mori Tower, a 238 meter high panoramic view is unparalleled by anything else in the city. It is an iconic, definitely once in a lifetime view that you will remember, It is an open air location with stunning 360 view of the great Tokyo region. Which you can also see the majestic Mt Fuji from afar.
This was a spontaneous day with my friend Alena where I did not plan to film but I had the feeling that I needed to capture the essence of my experience.Japan is definitely
Filmed with the GH5 + 12-35mm
Big Shout to Panasonic New Zealand my sponsor for hooking me up with the GH5 to use on my 3 recent world trips.

Japanese UNAGI EEL Restaurant in TOKYO | Roppongi, Tokyo [4K]
Fighting the Summer heat and fatigue with a beautiful Unagi Eel meal

***Update January 2018***
Manzen has unfortunately closed in December 2017.
Summer is here in Japan, it's really humid and hot outside, what is the best thing to do? Eat some amazing and delicious Unagi eels, known for being rich in Omega-A oils, which helps fight Natsubate (or summer fatigue in Japanese).
Today we head to Manzen, a small shop in the Roppongi Area of Tokyo. They have a Unagi-only menu, where you can choose between either a UNADON (bowl of rice topped with eel), UNAJYU (same as unadon but in a square box instead of bowl), and a TOKUSEN UNAJYU (a Unajyu with extra extra unagi on it).
The eels come from an eel farming company called Yamada Suisan, known for raising 100% organic eels. Compared to eels raised with chemicals and antibiotics, the meat is thick, tender and full of flavor.
The eels are prepared Kabayaki Style which means that they are butterflied, steamed, covered with tare sauce (a sweet thick soy sauce), and then broiled on a charcoal grill. The tare coating almost turns to caramel and gives a delicious sweetness to the unagi eel.
Eel dishes in Japan can be really pricey, but here at Manzen you can try delicious organic eels for less than 1000 yen (10$).

SCRIPT:
It’s not everyday that you get to live out a childhood dream. I’m not sure if it’s the history, the food, the pop culture, or the fact that Nintendo helped raise me, but for whatever reason, Japan has captured my heart and imagination for as long as I could remember
So what do you do when you find yourself with three weeks to spend in a place you’ve always wanted to visit? You explore the hell out of it… and for us that meant spending several days in Tokyo before heading south on a path that would take us through the cities of Kyoto, Osaka, Nara, and Hiroshima. There was no time to waste, so we hit the ground running.
Tokyo Skytree: The main observation deck of this massive tower has a capacity of 2000 people… which meant that we only had to wait in line for about 15 minutes before heading up. Depending on your budget, getting up here can be a little pricey, but it’s well worth it if you want to get a true sense of the vastness that is the Tokyo metropolis. It’s also a great place to come if you’re a science fiction movie fan… since the views of the city will remind you of every sci-fi movie you’ve ever loved simultaneously. Which will likely cause your brain to overload as you bombard your significant other with an endless stream of Blade Runner and Akira references
Print Club: YES! I was so excited to finally cheese it up at a Purikura or puri for short. A Puri is a japanese photo booth that let’s you turn your photos into overly processed bug-eyed sticker keepsakes. Since their debut in 1995, they’ve become a super popular activity for lots of young people in Japan, especially high school girls... which basically guarantees that Noah was the first bearded old guy to step through these doors. At any rate, it was so much fun dragging him all over Akihabara as I indulged in all the Japanese pop culture I could handle. This is what love looks like.

Japan Vlogs - Yokohama and Tokyo
▽▽R E A D M E - ALL THE DETAILS ARE IN HERE▽▽ ⤵
As you know by now I spent three weeks travelling around Japan in November last year.
I managed to capture quite a bit of miscellaneous footage during my travels, and so I thought I would make a bit event out of it and host #JapanWeek on my Blog and YouTube channel in order to share a glimpse into my experiences in Japan.
This fifth and final video (for this trips) comes to you from Yokohama and then features a return to Tokyo, before we headed home for Australia.
Yokohama gave us the opportunity to visit the famous Cup Noodle Museum, which was a fun way to spend an afternoon (but not a reason to visit Yokohama in and of itself). Yokohama is a big city, but so close to Tokyo that it really felt like just another part of it. We did visit two great craft beer pubs, but only one makes a very brief appearance in this video.
After Yokohama we headed back to Tokyo and finished out our trip with a stay in Waseda; with stops off at my favourite craft beer pub in Tokyo, the Tsukiji Fish Market for a sushi breakfast, Akihabara and more.
If you like this video please give it a big thumbs up, and if you have any questions about any of the things that we did in this video, or any requests for videos you'd like me to film, just throw these in the comments section down below →

JAPANTRIP「Odaiba」Minato-ku, Tokyo【東京港区お台場】 2015.3.18
Odaiba (お台場) is a popular shopping and entertainment district on a man made island in Tokyo Bay. It originated as a set of small man made fort islands (daiba literally means fort), which were built towards the end of the Edo Period (1603-1868) to protect Tokyo against possible attacks from the sea and specifically in response to the gunboat diplomacy of Commodore Perry.

Miku Expo 2016 Live Concert In Toronto - magnet by minato - 1080 HD
In order to have a better quality sound for these concert clips, I try to find a clean version of the song and mix it with the audio from my camera phone capture. This works if the arrangement of the concert audio is pretty much the same as the original version. But in the case of a song like magnet where the arrangement is a bit different, it can be problematic.
For this render, I relied more heavily on the audio from my phone than the layered mix of the original version. As a result, the audio is more muddy (which is how my camera phone audio sounds alone) but you can hear the unique arrangement of the concert version a little better. My apologies to the band as I don't mean to butcher their hard work and performance...

Graves of 47 Samurai (Ako Gishi) at Sengakuji Temple, Tokyo Metropolis
These are the graves of the 47 Ronin (Samurai) at Sengakuji Temple, near Tokyo, Japan. The 47 Samurais are part of the Ako Incident and is one of the most popular real tales of Japanese Culture that depicts Loyalty and courage. According to the story during the Edo period, a feudal lord called Asano Takuminokami was insulted by a Edo official. So, Asano draws a sword on the Edo official and was quickly captured and sentended to Seppuku (Hara-kiri) which is killing oneself. Once Lord Asano commits Seppuku, his loyal Samurais, about 47 of them decide to take revenge on the Edo Official (Kira Kozukenosuke). Two years later, the 47 samurai take revenge of their master's death by killing the Edo Official, Kira. Later 47 samurais are them selves sentenced to death by self immolation (seppuku). The 47 graves at this site in Sengakuji are the samurais final resting place. This Ako incident is a very famous tale in Japanese cultural history.
