Panning the shoreline of Lake Superior in Marathon Ontario at Carden Cove
Black Bear @ Carden Cove Rd - Marathon, ON
Just a small clip I took of a black bear, I was enroute to see a train so took my pictures, and than a quick video. I didn't have a card in my camcorder (figures) so had to swap with my camera and by then he walked back into the shrubs.

Katherine Cove, Lake Superior - Ontario, Canada * Sept 2014
Kate`s Cove: At least that is the name my wife Kathryn has chosen for this magical spot along Lake Superior shores. Certainly it has scenic qualities that approach rare beauty, however at times the weather can be rather cool with winds a howling. Overall, however, it truly is a place to visit and reflect on life's future.

2013 Marathon Ontario Summerfest Parade
I was more than a little dissapointed at having driven all the way to Marathon for the Summerfest parade (check out the 2011 parade at ) which may have been THE shortest parade EVER... However if you're into boats this will likely be a fun watch for you (or if you were in the parade this is your chance to see it all).
Summerfest continues in Marathon with some great events schedule for Canada Day tomorrow so check out their website

CP 114-23 - CP 8558 E @ Marathon, ON
This is the view from Marathon as we watch the 114 approach. At the start, looking across Peninsula Bay at Coldwell/Mink Tunnel (where the tailend is, is Mink Tunnel) the train moves through (mile 72) [the detector is for the Royal Canadian Pacific/Christmas Train movement I just missed]... Following this, we see 114 stretched out along Carden Cove whistling for Carden Cove Rd with a echo against the former Marathon Pulp mill. This is roughly mile 66 - 64.5. And then the train passes by at Mile 63, and we hear the detector go off at mile 60 following.
